Dual coil vs. Single coil?

Newb to the vapor doob question:

I have bee vaping on single coils so far, presently a 510 smok Tech 2.0 Ohm on an Ego 510 passthrough 3.7 volt.

Am I going to notice a humongous difference/ improvement with a dual coil?

If so... recommendations?

A difference indeed.

Dual coils typically run at lower temperatures than single coils (ponder two 40 watt light bulbs in a lamp instead of a single 80 watt bulb) but they can produce a bit more lung hit at those lower temperatures due to more coil touching liquid to make vapor.

Dual coils can go through liquid a little faster if you still like to take long slow drags.

Dual coils can drain your battery a little faster. Make sure you're using a big battery with plenty of mah, preferably tested with the LR dual coils.

I think:
They're worth giving a try, especially if you're a big fan of 'lung hit'. I don't use them all the time, but I do have a few flavors that peak in this carto type, so I keep a box at hand. I've also enjoyed some of the jumbo ego sized dualies....good for flavors I know I like to vape all day...sometimes I can get a good week's use out of one if it's a clean clear liquid...2 or 3 days usually if it's a thick/sweet/dark liquid.

You may well sense 'warmer vape' since there may be 'more of it' to sense, and the carto is designed to pull air through a fairly long straw-like pathway surrounded by coil, but the coils themselves are going to fire cooler than a single coil atomizer.

I.E. A 1.5 Ohm dual coil is made up with two 3 ohm coils in parallel. So instead of one coil heated to around 9 watts (assuming voltage is 3.7), you get two coils at around 4.5 watts each. Total power is still around 9 watts, but with dualies that power is 'spread out' over twice the length of coil, it's also snipped in half and wired in parallel, so that's why it works more like two dimmer light bulbs than a single brighter light blub.

The last time I got some (and it has been months ago), I stocked up on regular SmokTech 2 Ohm dual coil Stainless XLs (I run them from 4 to 5v, with the 900mah 3.7v battery try the 1.5ish ohm ones first). They've been fine.

I've also had a few of the Collosial Clears from Nhaler (Ego Sized giants). Those were good cartos as well.

The industry moves pretty fast these days, and it seems like every month or so more products are coming out, so my best advice is to try in sparing quantities until you find one you like. Maybe try a couple of the regular sized ones if you love small bottles of eliquid and shorter vaping sessions w/changing flavors often, and a mega size if you have a favorite bulk liquid you like to vape all day like a research monkey The DCT tanks are really inexpensive now as well.
