dual tank unit

Started an idea about a switchable variable voltage dual tank/atty mod. I like to switch flavors and sometimes nic levels and thought a single unit would be possible. I built a few rough 3d models and im going to build this one after i clean up the design as nothing is accuratly proportioned yet. the led and switch position will determine which tank is in use.

thanks for the info. ill check that out, but im not even getting that technical electronics wise on this. just a simple selector switch between the atty connections.

I would recommend a mini toggle switch rather than the LED/switch combo. You don't want a LED on all the time and you get a nice visual from a shiny toggle. Plus you can be the DJ of your vape.

true, im debating the leds. They really would be pointless except maybe in the dark, but feeling the switch would work in the dark. toggle would require being recessed to prevent accidental switching,but that would be a nice switdh to use.

You could put a toggle on the top between the two connectors. It would beg to be side to side, but front to back might be easier to use. And the mini sticks out only 5-6mm.

hmmmm not a bad idea,but im not sure how good that would do in the case of tank leakage.

Really interesting mod idea. I like the toggle idea and an o-ring or a thin gasket above and below the box would seal off any accidental leaks.

Have you held two tanks that close together and tried vaping from one? Seems like it'd be awkward at best. I carry a few different tanks with me and have no troubles swapping them out when I feel like it.

yes i have, i did consider that though. but i think it will work. ill find out today.

test box complete and works beautifully. running two 14500 trustfires with two 510 connectors .carts are a tad close on it but still easy to use. final box will have better distance. vaping 18mg 555 and 6mg banana milkshake most of the day at @5v im in love with this thing and cant wait to vape the two at work.

I am so pleased with how this works, i'm going to pick up more parts and build a final version in a metal caseing with seperate power on leds for each tank, a volt/battery meter, and an actual knob in place of a bare potentiometer. i may also countersink the 510 connections an inch so the tanks don't protrude so much.
