Hey all:
First today I have had some issues with a funky aftertaste I noticed on a couple or three different juices that I got recently and started to vape. The problem is that once it got into the atty, it has been almost impossible to get rid of. I blew it out twice and finally I loaded it with Atomic Cinnacide because I was about to get nauseated it was so bad!
The taste is like that funky taste you get after eating a piece of flaky pie crust but get that strange aftertaste. I hope someone knows what I am talking about. It stayed in the atty for hours. I changed juices 4 times and until I loaded AC it still was there. Any advice on how to get rid of this?
Second I am having this DA** problem with my Ego batteries again. We could not figure out what it was the other day (they would not charge) and I cleaned them etc finally got them to charge.
Well today I get up I use my battery for a while til it goes down and I go to the battery that should have been charged and whooops NO go! So I am stuck going back to the old smokes for a while til I can get a battery charged. For anyone that wants to ask yes these are the batteries that came with the EGo kit and the charger as well. All came in the original kit I got 2 a1/2 weeks ago.
Now I cannot get one of the batteries to charge so I am down to one battery. I think I am gonna buy a Passthrough to take care of issues such as this. I was gonna buy another battery but what if it is the charger that is causing the issue? Then that would be a waste of $$$.
So my day seems like it has been fight one issue after another and still do not have anything resolved. I found a sit and go passthrough for $14 and a adaptor to charge in the car for $9. I think I am gonna get both but I am really aggravated that I have spent all this $$$ in the past 2 weeks and now I cannot even vape all the time??
I have spoken to Vicki at Cignot where I got my stuff and she has said she would help me out when we figure out what is wrong but we cannot figure out the exact issue so ...........until we do I am stuck. Thanks for letting me vent. It is hard enough to try to learn how to do all this.
Oh and I started trying to use cartomizers. So I am trying to fill one. I did it OK the first time. The second it seemed to not want to fill and the juice was coming out the hole in the bottom and when I vaped it, only lasted a very short while and the filler was pulled all the way to the top where my mouth is when I pulled it off to look at it. I tried filling one more time and that one is kerphlewey so ............ Now I am not sure my experience with cartomizers is what I want it to be and I am so frustrated at all of this!!!
Ugggh!!!!

JMO if your gonna go back to cigs till this gets worked out ask Vikki if you can just send your kit back for another or see if they can tinker with it and fix it, just a thought.

Sounds like you over filled your cartomizer, I use the comdon method to fill mine, the first fresh fill i always get the msot juice in it, then after that when i top it off i only get about 10-15 drops per refill.

When im using atties and carts, i have some atties for certain flavors, my AC has its own attie. But before i had a got stock pile of atties i use to soak my atties in Crest Pro health mouth wash for 20 minutes then rinse them in vodak and hot water to get flavors out of them then let them dry. I probably didnt have to do that many steps but it worked for me just thought i would share

Starchild, do you have the usb charger made for the ego or the adapter?when you put the batts on the charger only twist em on till the led on the batt flashes. If the charger light turns red you should be set. Also if you are using the usb charger make sure you have it plugged into your computer and not an ac to usb converter. i had an issue using my plug bug(ac to usb converter)it would not charge correctly and really got me frustrated.Trust that vicki will help you out as much as possible, Cignot is the only spot i go for supplies as they have killer service.hope this helps.

It could well be the charger - the QC on he chargers coming in from China can be..less than ideal. I think the vendors get as frustrated as their customers over QC issues at the manuf. end.
Go check out this thread and see if yours looks like the pics here. If it does the OP has put a nifty and easy fix up. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cignot/89896-ego-usb-charger-failure.html I would say, on hearsay evidence alone from seeing many posts that are pro-eGo battery, that the eGo battery is LESS likely to go toes up than the charger.
These things are sent to try us mate, hang in there, we'll get you sorted one way or another.

Real sorry to hear about your problems, especially with the Ego battery....Don't know if they are exactly the same ones that Janty uses or not...My batteries I ordered and used from Janty are still working great...Except for the auto batteries...For some reason, they just don't last as long as the manual batteries...But, they do work as good....mostly...Good Luck....and Enjoy...

Sorry it has taken a day or two to get back here but a lot has been going on. First, juice junkie, yes this is the charger that is supposed to go with the Ego battery. So that should not be an issue in this matter. The weird part is I was using the usb on the computer until I started having problems then I tried it on the AC adaptor and the wall charger.
Thanks to all for the links, advice and encouragement. I have tried out the fix from the other post that you pointed me out to. I have had better luck since then. I have decided that I am going to keep one battery hooked up to the charger until I get ready to use it. Vicki said this would not hurt anything so that way I am sure it will not go down in the interim again.
Something I have noticed which is strange because Vicki said that these batteries do not get "weak" they just go down all at once, is that I have noticed that mine are not staying charged as long as they once did. Today my battery only stayed charged for about 4 hours. They usually stay charged for 7-8 hours if they get charged fully. I think this is strange. I am really of the mind that this is charger related for the most part but I am not 100% convinced of this. I am going to keep my eye out and see what happens from here.
I am working on getting used to the cartomizers. I do not have my technique completely down yet but I am doing better with it. I have ordered a Sit and Go pass through as well to help me out if I have battery problems and a car adaptor as well. I do not want to be in that situation again. I was doing really well on cutting my analogs out for the most part and this has set me back.
I am going to have to work harder to get back to the place that I was before all this happened. One thing this has taught me is that if something goes wrong with this stuff you are stuck. There is no going to the market and getting a replacement at least not in my neighborhood! So I am going to make sure I am covered! It is more than frustrating to get into the position that I was in and be stressed and not know what the real issue was. I appreciate you listening and letting me vent!
Thanks again for everything.
