Call it BIG BLUE II. This is the second one I have done. First one was in a little bit bigger case.
batteries (with two) last about a week but, mostly run it with just one and that goes about three days.
Made it to take two 26650s to take with me fishing with out any possibility of a died battery and instead of carrying a spare just make it fit in the mod. I have a big hand and fits perfect and fit in my shirt pocket.

I have to thank mamu, breaktru, and bapgood for even giving the idea to even try to make one of my own mods. You are truly masters of mods!

Switch made from S&W 500 shell with tactile switch.

Up/down watts done with a rocker switch.

Very nice!

Check back with some feedback on your battery performance and life. Mamu and I are finding that the MNKE 26650's wont handle higher loads even though the spec's say they should. Vaping at 15watts or so with a single battery hits the low voltage cutoff around ~3.7v-3.9v which means the voltage is sagging to around 3.1-3.2v under that load.

However I have been using a single MNKE 26650 with a LR carto and tank which I vape at 7.5 watts and I have gotten great life out of a charge.

A good Lithium battery in the ~1000mAh range should sag no more than 0.4-0.5V under load with a high Watt setup (let's say 20W). Double the size (2000mAh) and it should not sag more than 0.3V. It all depends on the battery internal impedance, which dictates its discharge rating.

I have not yet found a round cell that can support a 7A constant discharge for more than a few seconds before dipping below 3.0V. Yes, I have a test rig. In my mods, I only use high-discharge flat LiPo cells originally built for RC hobbies. Batteries specifically built for RC helicopters are usually the best.

Back with a battery test for the 26650. I found if the MNKE was new as in brand new. Would last 1 1/2 days at 10.5 watts with a 2.9 coil 6/7 wrap of 32 Nichrome with 400 SS Mesh and the battery would stop at 3.5 volts. After the battery had cycled a few times with the same set up would last 3 1/2 days and stop at 3.4 volts. Just for the idea to say how long as in time real doesn't say much so, decided to keep track of how much juice it was turning to vaper. With the 3 1/2 days was 26 mls give or take a ml. Just gave my best estimate of what was in the tank at the end. That was with just one battery. Going to try it this week with two just to see what I get. I know I'm not as low of ohms as some are doing and just stick with what works for me. It only seems large (to me fits just right I have a big paw;)) next to all the great mods that you Masters have made. And thank you for liking coming from this group has merit to it.

Don't need the low ohms with DNA POWER!
