Dumb move at a dumb time

Hi All. Can anyone quickly help me if possible.

I'm using a 510-T and don't really know jack about what I'm doing. I'm 2 days into quitting analogues and am heavily relying on my 510-T to keep me away from them. But tonight I did something that seems to have messed me up. I took all 4 atty's that I had and washed them under water because I had noticed that the last flavour I had used in the atty stuck around for a while after I changed cartridges. Since then I can't get any decent vapour from all 4.

I'd blown any excess water out of the battery end of the atomiser before connecting it and dried them. I then also made sure that they had some juice on them on the other side before I used them. But with all 4 attys now I am getting practically no vapour, flavour and thus hit. Which is killing me cause this is the only reason why I've been able to stay off the analogues for so long and im gonna kick myself if I give in cause I have to wait 4-5 days for new attys.

They need to be thoroughly dry i'm guessing they may still have some water in them.

Some dry then on a cookie sheet in the oven on low heat. Or, try using a hair dryer on low heat. Those my best guesses for the atty. I'm a really guessin cause I don't use atties. Might wanna also check the batt connector/threads are free from juice build up. That's all I can think of. Good luck getting them to perform like they did.

I don't have experience with the 510T but with the egoT I have, I find that happens to me too. Once they're completely blown out and washed with water, then blown out again it seems to take a while for the flavour to really get back in there.

I'd say run some juice through them, blow it out again without running water through them and just chain puff them like a cigar until you get the flavour and vapour back. It's what I do with my egoT's after I cleaned them. Takes time to wick, especially because I use 100% VG but yeah, seems to take a fair while to really get the water out of them.

Thanks guys. Doesn't matter cause I'm totally rooted no matter what. Both my batteries are dead and my charger is at work. I would scream an expletive here.....But whats the point.

Well, the bad news is that they take a while to dry. You can speed up that by rinsing them in alcohol next time, vodka works ok, and you can put them on a baking sheet in the oven on the lowest setting to speed up the drying, but that's all you can do really. Might want to look up some of the posts on dry burning here in the forums too, as i can help knock off any remaining build up on the element.

The problem is the wick absorbing the water, and water doesn't vape like juice. If you don't let the wick dry completely so it can absorb the juice then just vape the water out of the wick. It will probably take about 8-10 long draws to vaporize the water so the wick will absorb the juice.

How many ecigs do you get with that kit? Maybe next time you do routine cleaning, keep one ecig handy so that you have something to fall back on while the others are waiting to dry- and then once they have dried, you can clean the one that you fell back on.

Can't help ya' much as the above posters are correct, water takes some time and heat to get cleared out. And you being without. batteries is just the pits.

Most of us have been there. It is that experience that causes us to have backups behind our backups. Example: Yesterday I went to visit some family 2.5 hours away from home. I had 30 days of juice with me and 3 days worth of batteries for 2 PV's. My oldest son also shows up and he didn't prepare, so his "all-day" battery dies so there goes one of my PV's. Some members of the family there are just starting to cape, so I have to give them some juice and let them burn some battery on my PV.

So, even after that experience like yours that made me have all that extra stuff, those odd things that dig into your stash keep popping up.

I'd suggest getting a few cigs and relaxing for a few. It will help reinforce why you are switching and keep the nic-fits down while you plot how to make sure it never happens again.

I think we all have similar stories to yours in the beginning of our vaping experiences and I couldn't agree with Hoosier more. Backup for your backups! I have 6 batts and 7 attys that I rotate, and twice that much new stuff is in a backup box. Always have 2 of everything on me even if I am going to the grocery store which is 1.5 miles from home.
You have now learned the first rule of vaping the hard way....never be without backups, and never clean all your attys at the same time unless, you guessed it, you have backups. It will get better............Hang in there.
