PVs, nicotine as a hunger supressant?

One reason why Nicotine in vapour suppresses hunger is due to the uptake of nicotine in the blood.

Nicotine whether from a cigarette or Nicotine Delivery device (PV) will result in a release of adrenaline (epinephrine) into the blood. The result of this is the breakdown of glycogen (carbohydrate store in the liver and muscle) to release glucose into the blood. This occurs as a fight or flight response also when adrenaline is released.

As leptin is one of the primary hormones responsible for appetite and leptin is counter regulated by adrenaline the result is appetite suppression. If a small amount of nicotine is consumed the effect is less than that if a greater amount of nicotine is consumed.

Overall, even though the food smells and taste better for me,,,,I am no different in the amount I eat...Of course, I never eat a lot in one sitting anyhow....More like small helpings about 4-5 times a day instead...Enjoy.

You're not getting as much nicotine with a PV. vape more or increase the nicotine content of your e-juice. If you get too much, trust me, you'll know it.

I have noticed since quitting analogs and my smelling and taste buds have improved I just like eating more food.

I'm vaping the most delicious flavors ever like WOW Peach Cobbler from V4L so I find that I don't want any snacks...I just pick up my PV and YUM!

I think to each his own. I haven't started vaping yet, however I do know skinny to overweight smokers. I'll let you know my weight experience when I quit analogs and start Vaping. (Geesh, I hope I don't gain weight!) LOL

I started vaping again in june (kinda fell back to analogs when my mom passed away last Sept) using my 510. I started reading the forum again and found my Riva which I got 7/6 and I have lost about 10 pounds. Another reason to love my Riva. I spend more time on here and mixing juice and I'm just not hungry.

I find the sweeter vapes like pina colada and cherry stone sour keep my hunger at bay. The tobacco flavors didn't seem to have the same effect. Guess having your desert first has some merit.

That's good! I've only ordered the tobacco flavors but after reading so many post's about the food flavors, I'm going to have to order some of those too.

The foody type flavours are yummmm... Loving my caramel/butter rum/pecan flavoured one right now... Its like a delicious, squidgy cake of some sort in vapour form! :9

[Edit: Also, I always thought that analogues tasted like .... anyway. WHY anyone would want to buy a similar tasting juice is a bit beyond me! Lets see... Marboro flavour.. or NY strawberry cheesecake flavour! No-brainer! :9]

Hahaha sooo true! I can honestly say that I loved smoking, But did NOT love the taste. I loved the ritual. Now I get that, and the yummy flavors that come with vaping.
