With the syringes, do the measurement account for the extender tips you attach to them? I have 2 different gauge syringes (5Ml and 1ML) and the 2 extender tips I have are also a different gauge.
I always wondered that too. I know it doesnt take into account the needle on the actual syringe measurments but how much of a difference is it in overall measurment . I use long 2" - 2.5" 14 ga syringes so i would guess its maybe .1-.2ml in the actual needle
If you don't have air in the syringe, the extension will not expell anything. (Like a straw or glass pipette with your finger over one end.) I fail to see how it should account for anything.
I seldom use anything except the syringe though. Needles and extensions are reserved for special cases. My 1ml syringes easily fit into the flavoring bottles and the nicotine and base are coming from the oral dosing syringes so there is no need for a needle on those.
Like Hoosier said the amount in the needle does not expell so it shouldn't effect your measurement but if you are still concerned just draw back to the 1ml mark first then draw your measured amount and then into your mix ending at the 1ml mark.
By using syringes, with or without needles, and a recommended taste test mixing protocol while taking notes, it makes no diff. Just replicate the recipe you found satisfactory.
