I just got mine a couple hours ago. Plugged it in to the USB to charge and the red light came on for charging. It turned green a few minutes ago indicating its fully charged. I plugged my passthrough into it to try it out and got very little vapor and the green light on top of the Duracell turned red meaning battery needs charging. I guess the indicator light on it is as meaningless as the ones on the ecig chargers. I'm gonna leave it charging over night and see what happens tomorrow.

I'm mad I went to order one of these from Tigerdirect.com last night for

the sale price $19.99 and was about to pay and needed to fill out

registration but it wouldn't allow me to enter Canada as my location for

credit card BS !! as I have a US address I didn't want to buy it from there

Canadian site which had it for $26.99 but the kicker was $21.99 for

shipping WTF a small item like this . I wrote them a email telling them of

this henious BS of overcharging Canadians and that I wanted to purchase

only on the US tiger website no reply and now the item is sold out !!

.......s . This company IMO SUCKS!!!! hope to find one soon I hate using

batteries ! End Rant
I bought it on the Canadian site 26.99 x2 $10 shipping..total $75..
so I guess there is no sale if you're a Canadian..buying on the US site?

The Duracell one I got is a dud. Even though the charge light was green I left it charging all night (with the switch on off) and this morning I can't get one drag out of the USB passthrough and the light goes red. I'm sending it back for a replacement.

Heads up everyone--this Duracell will not work on an auto passthough as it does not have enough power--It will work on Yangs battery passthough with the Manual Switch. I tried it on 5 of my Puresmoker passthoughs and no go after a 12 hour charge and AC recharge----Any other reports out there besides myself, Houdini, and a couple of others????--Input would be appreciated--Sun

And this is exactly why posters have to be cautious on what they recommend to members here. Otherwise, there becomes a lot of wasted money. And I don't think any one of us can afford that.

Lu

Heads up hear as Lu is right on point here--Walmart gave me some issues trying to returning this Duracell as they tried to say they do not take returns on batteries. (and Walmart does not usually give issues about most returns) I had to get a Manager to authorize the return as they only wanted to give me a replacment.

I have read that a lot of people ordered these off the intenet and that is going to be more of an issue to return--So if you ordered it and you have a Auto passthough like Puresmker's--Do not open it and see if they will refund unopen items---Sun

UPDATE Feb 28, 2009:

OK From Reading Others Post, This Duracell Power Pack Does Not Work With USB Pass Throughs From The Post's I Have Read. The Problem Appears It Does Not Put Out The Rated 1000 mAh as Advertized.

I have not Picked One Up Yet to try it,.

Bottom Line, Don't Buy It For Use With A USB Passthrough, It May Work well for other applications.

Glad You Finally Found Out About The Charging Indicator Lights! I Keep Telling EveryOne It Is Not An Actual Indicator, Most All Small Chargers for small Lithium Batts are with Red to Green Indicator Lights, they Will usually Change to Green in Only A Few Minutes! It Is Not Charged!

Check Your Manual's, I realize some manuals are not written correctly, so if it the LED turns green color in a few minutes, its Not Charged & I would suggest to give in a 3 to 6 hour time to fully charge.

I just want to help, because most battery chargers & Battery charger instructions are Not Correct! I have been doing cell phone batteries & accessories for over 10 years, I know all the batteries & chargers in detail, from manufacturer builds to end user results and actually most defects people think they have are not a defect, its lack of charging the battery correctly. But who reads anymore?

But these e-cig batteries use very cheap battery cells & poor / crappy components, they are not designed to last long period, and their is a very high DOA & SDS Rate!

Keep Vapin!

FYI: It does Not Matter Where You Purchased It! If you tell them Its DOA, They must Refund or Replace the Item within there written terms of sale, usually 7 to 30 days.

Exceptions: If You Buy from Close out sales, or Sales terms stated As In All Sales are Final.

Just my 2 Cents.

Keep Vapin! & Don't Buy The Duracell Power Pack!

I already knew the indicator lights on regular e-cig chargers were meaningless. There are lights on the Duracell pack too. I went by the instructions that came with it and when the light turned green I assumed it was charged. I got no results so I put it back on charge and let it go 15 hours and it still does not work.
Sun Vaporer, on page 4 of this thread you said you had one going strong. Which passthrough were you using?

Getting a bit confused with all this talk about green light as the 2 Leds turn green for different reasons..
I have a David Yang manual and as Sun pointed out this Duracell is charging the 3.6V battery in the battery box.
I charged the Duracell overnite - tAs far as led lights front side where the USB output port is- red turned to green to show it is fully charged
But the Led light on top of the Duracell only turns green when it is actually charging something in my case when I vape , the green light turns on indicating its charging the passthrough battery box.
With the regular passthroughs, nothing happens to the Led light on top? no reaction when vaping?
(ordered some and guess this Duracell will be useless for those)

That's good to know as I only had the battery pass thru to test it with. Anyone sell a battery pass thru for the 901?
