So ive been vaping for awhile now and ever since i can remember I've had the worst seasonal allergies from summer with grass and pollen to winter with conifer trees hah. there was no escaping my allergies... until about a year ago i realized.. i wasnt sneezing anymore when I'd visit my mothers wood house full of dried flowers that i used to associate my allergies with. I can mow my lawn again, i can live again!!! I have done nothing different except smoke my e cig constantly. everytime i feel the sniffles coming on i take a puff, blow it out my nose and its clear?!? has anyone else experianced this? I've searched the forums on multiple occasions and found nothing? i fail to see im a special case as I've let multiple people use my e cig to relieve congestion with menthol liq. not only allergies but (knock on wood) i havent gotten sick in over a year which is unheard of for me. im baffled to say the least that this isnt a major topic that is brought up for the health benefits of e cigs. it should be looked into further because I'm not exaggerating the terrible case of allergies i had that is now a thing of the past! anyone have a similar case? maybe anyone vape menthol liq to relieve a cold at least?

Similar story here :)

I have allergic rhinitis since I was maybe fifteen.

Since I started vaping, that got considerably better. Months now pass between having the need to take any medication for it.

Around seven years ago, I was also diagnosed with asthma. Nothing too serious by then, only slight symptoms, but I was warned to smoke no more than four cigarettes a day, or it could get worse. Needless to say, I never smoked less than around twelve... sometimes, an entire pack even. :(

I used to take some preventive medications, just in the spring/summer.

Fortunately, I discovered the e-cig five years and and half ago - before that asthma got a chance to get worse :)

That preventive medication ended in the trash bin. Stopped taking it when there were no symptoms anymore, and eventually it expired. :toast:

That's awesome I'm glad it's helped you as well! There has to be more cases of this. it took awhile for me to realize it helped me or maybe it was that it happened slowly. Never the less it has helped improve my quality of life 10 fold. My love-hate relationship with nature has become a little more one sided I'm happy to say. If nothing else I want to get the word out to people because it's a great selling point to quit smoking and start vaping!
Thank you for telling your story

Back (many years ago) when people first started to criticize smoking, that it might be bad for you there was a lot of you can`t say that as there is no proof. The real truth 20 years from now might be that vaping is good for you. No question it is better for you than smoking. I've noticed the same positives.

I would really like to get into e-cig and health issues in great detail but if I go down that road. It will cause too much drama for me. On this forum.
I will get labeled a vendor trying to sell his stuff. Doesnt matter that Im not even in the same country lol. Or that Im not selling any of this right now.
Or that even if I wanted to I cant export it outside the country as e-cig is banned here. So no official import or export of anything e-cig may be done.
So lets see what I can share.

a. PG was invented as a disinfectant for hospitals. It does kill germs. Riptripers talks about it in one of his videos. So basically if you vape it will keep all germs and allergens out by killing them. Plus it coats the lining of your lungs preventing irritants to contact the membranes in your lung.

b. We are using nothing but an inhaler. Menthol is probably the silliest thing to use for clear your sinus. There are proven ayurvedic herbs and their oils which work much much better.

c. I have a line of herbal Vapes I have done under DIY for myself. Stuff I use Tulsi, Pann, Winter Green Oil, Eucalyptus oil, etc etc.

d. The temp you vape at has a lot to do with what effect it has on you. You have anti inflammatory, analgesic, etc etc.

At present I do not sell these but you can buy these oils for your self. Online. And make your own DIY.
Also check out your chemist shop for something called Caravol H. That too can be used in your vape.

Hope this does not get me banned lol.
Mods if I have crossed some invisible line just delete my post.

I really think Vaping can be used to improve our health. And cure common medical problems. As well as its a good delivery system for many homeopathic and ayurvedic oils. And have spent a lot of time and effort into researching the same.

I really hope it doesn't cross any lines because this is a very informative post! Thank you for your input!

I've discussed in depth the uses of pg with my brother in law who is a doctor and he said about the same thing. Only he added a con that along with those things it is a tissue "fixer" idk if he meant "affixer" or what but apparently it's used to affix things placed in the body during surgery. So he recommended that I do not smoke while vaping, which to me defeats the purpose, but I'd like to pass along that knowledge because I know there are people out there that might and it may just amplify the harmful effects of cig smoke. From personal experience though I've found that it seemed to coagulate all the residual tar from my lungs and help expel it but I have no research to back that up.

Thank you again for the input about the herbal extracts as I was just talking with my family about the health benefits that could be used for!

I have not seen any science at all to back up vaping herbal extracts having any health benefits . If someone knows there have been studies, I would love to see them. Until such time, I won't be doing any herbal vaping.

Now that you mention it. When I moved to Texas I used to (all of a sudden) cough and then smell this acrid odor which after much misinformation found it to be ragweed. Few folks can smell it. Bugged hell outta me and caused a number of allergy symptoms. Anyway it hasn't bothered me for a couple years now. How cool is that?

It took me awhile to realize what had happened with me as well which is funny since it had such a huge impact on my life lol.

And correct WV it's a far cry from smoking. Smoking used to make my allergies worse and could hardly smoke when id get sick but vaping keeps my allergies away and haven't gotten sick(knock on wood) in the 4 or so years I've been vaping except a cold that I help fight with my vapes ha
