You do not provide much information in your post. I am not aware of any specific studies that conclude that oral health and vaping are a bad mix. That said, if you have a particular sensitivity to a component of e-liquid, you very well may be having an issue.

PG sensitivity, for example, has been known for several years. An easy test is to vape VG-only liquids for a period of time to note any change.

Well I've been smoking cigarettes for 25 years till i quit to vap like 4 1/2 months ago and never had any teeth problems. I've had cavities in the past and have had my wisdom teeth, and my gums arent the greatest but other than that im not to bad for 35 years old. In the past month and a half first i got up in the middle of the night and went to the bathroom and was fiddling with the back of my bottom front teeth when i feel a chunk come off (which i know was plaque, not part of my tooth). But thats never happend to me unless i go to the dentist for a cleaning after a while of not, And then 2 weeks after that i was eating popcorn (like i have for years) and one of the outside of my top back teeth chips off.....i was like ...!!! And now today my girl just texts me and says she had a chunk of tooth (or i think plaque) come off the back of one of her bottom teeth!!!...and she has pretty good teeth.

Anyone else have this problem?

The only general problem I'm aware of is people who already have a pre-existing issue with dry mouth before they started vaping can have an increase in dry mouth related dental issues after they start vaping because of the hygroscopic nature of vapor. And again, it only seems to be an issue for people who have a pre-existing dry mouth issue.

Other than that, quitting smoking can let loose a lot of problems that were being held in check - and not in a good way - when smoking. Can't say much of anything else, because you aren't saying what the problem is either of you encountered.

Dude, if the two of you are wondering if chunks of plaque are breaking off your teeth and aren't sure I wouldn't be looking at vaping as the source of the problem. When what the last time either of you had a regular cleaning?

DrCupcake81, I'm thinking maybe you flipped VG and PG around. VG gives more vapor than PG but I'm not sure which one gives the dry mouth issues.

OP, whatever's causing the issues I hope it gets better and keep on vaping.

I assumed VG produced less vape because I used to get juice at a smoke shop that "claimed" that their juice was all VG. Which now I realize was most likely bs.

As for PG drying mouth. I looked it up a while back cause I too was getting dry mouth. I'm pointing fingers at guide to vaping for this info
