E cig as a present

Hello,

I would like to receive an advice.. heres the situation:

I am not a smoker, i have no idea about cigarettes or e-cigs, but I would like to give an e-cig for my better half as a birthday present.
I almost bought Green Smoke (73 GBP = 113,38 USD) mainly because they ship to my country from UK (it also means no taxes for EU and shipping takes just 7 days) and on a lot of sites they had pretty good reviews.. until i found this site..

Now i don`t know if " Green Smoke " is worth the price and what alternatives i actually have, because the tricky part is that I need to find a shop that ships to my little country in the EU zone.
USA shops don`t ship at all or shipping costs usually as much as the product + taxes ,cos it comes out of EU economy zone . So at the end it means an even more expensive e-cig than the GS + i will receive it after his birthday

I am pretty sure that 2 piece with so called cartomizers (??) would be the best option for him.
He smokes Marlboro red , but prefers the taste of Philip morris.
I am guessing - 5 cigs at a normal day more when in a party mode
i don`t know if i should go for the green smoke or not. Its quite expensive.. i am afraid that battery wont last for a day and that it is actually an overpriced so-so product with a good marketing ..

Maybe someone could point out other options or just assure that GS would be the right choice..?

They are bigger however...about the size of a sharpie marker if you have them in your country...or a good size magic marker. Battery life would last him all day for no more than he smokes. If you want to go with a 2 piece system, you can get Boge cartomizers in 2ohm.

If this isn't appealing, see if she carries a kr808d-1 model...since she's closed right now, I can't check for you. The kr808 is a 2 piece system and gives decent vapor, flavor, and throathit. She might carry pre-filled cartomizers but if not, get blanks/empties and a flavor of juice in 18-24mg strength that he may like...or get a few flavors so he has some variety.

Order a good battery (the large part), lots of flavours and some cartomizers or tanks.

The passtroughs tend to have pretty good battery-capasity, whille not beeing to big. You want him to be able to bring just the battery and a cartomizer/tank or two when out and about.

I'd get a provari from provape.com. its a variable volt. Strong,dependable, and useful. Its not cheap but it will the only one they need ever. Get the starter kit of the provari. It has everthing you need.

Fanifox, I mainly use a GGTS with LR cartos. Had to go into hospital last week for an op on my broken wrist, so bought an SD keyring with prefilled cartos to stealth vape. It really is a super little e-cig As you say, they really are a good idea for a gift

There are so many ecigs out there
When i started to search for an e-cigs always the same brands kept coming up: V2, Blu, GreenSmoke & so on
So i thought its the way to go..

i really do like the idea about SD keyring.
Its a bit thick in the diameter, but not so huge overall.. in general i prefer the lean look that resembles the old stinky cigarette ..
Also packaging is not so nice, but i think it is a really great test device for a first time user!
i am really leaning towards this one
Btw- Can i use any cartomizer labeled as "510" for the keyring device ? i like how it looks in one color, but the shop doesnt seem to carry s. steel cartomizers

Yes, you can use any 510 cartos with the SD, but for the sake of safety, I would stick with SR 3.0 cartos with it. Although the product info does say they tried it with LR cartos, I would be leery of using them because of the battery mah size. Color, black or SS or whatever, does not matter. It's the ohms you need to be concerned with.

ETA: Single coil cartos only.

Before giving a recommendation, I have to first ask the OP if their friend has expressed any interest in quitting smoking or in using ecigs.

I worked in a retail ecig store for a year and almost every single time that someone bought one as an unsolicited gift, they ended up coming back or ended up sitting in a drawer. Ecigs are difficult enough to tailor to the needs of someone who WANTS to use them, let alone trying to find something for someone who hasn't had an interest in them.

If they've mentioned being interested in ecigs, then I'd say go for it. If they haven't, then I'd bring up the topic in conversation to get a feel on what they think of them before dropping the money for a kit.

baaboo, the SD key ring actually has a far better battery life between charges than the greensmokes or other cigie lookalikes - plus so much cheaper

Dearme is right, you can use any 510 carto on the sd key ring apart from the LR (lower resistance) ones.

I think i am gonna go for the SD key thing. I have possibility to mix and match batteries and cartomizers ...
At VapeEscape they dont have much flavors to chose from, but afterwards i can buy 510 cartomizers pretty much everywhere, isnt it so?
