I got a email today from a friend about stores like walgreens selling njoy E-Cigs. Nice little article till you reach the comments at the end of the article...theres a lot of supporters but the opposers just sound like babbling fools. Some people are just so ignorant. Heres a few quotes that grinded my gears....

"It's just a new way of ...... in the pool... didn't they have those bubble gum cigs in the 80's that made you look cool too -puff puff -chew chew? Cigarettes are for losers that need an oral fixation and a drug hit. Note: Every Thumbsdown = weak minding smoker :)
Get rid of all those tobacco fields and grow crops that people can use!!"

"It is nothing more than a drug delivery system, just like a needle with dope in it.
This is an attempt by addicted drug user's to get their fix of nicotine. As a dispenser of the drug nicotine, it should fall under the juristiction of the Federal Drug Administation and be banned for sale to anyone."

"It's fun watching the weak invent new ways to sustain their junkie-like habits and then rejoice in the possibility that they are "less harmful" than real cigarettes. njoy, you should triple the price and increase your profit margin....smokers are known for the less than stellar intellect."

"If you're that addicted.....you need some serious help"

"cool, local bars and restraunts help discourage a nasty habit and some ..... comes up with a different way smoke."

Thankfully a lot a the smarter commenters put up a lot a defense. These comments are just a reminder of how many fools inhabit this world...

"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."-- Mark Twain

Fun stuff. Thanks for posting it. Can you imagine the outrage if we said things like tha about obese people? Food is killing more folks than smoking now. Or what if we bashed caffeine drinkers? Caffein is the same damn thing as nicotine...they both come in a plan as that plants insecticide...they both can kill a person...but wait...I dont know anyone who died of a nicotine overdose...I have heard of people ODing on caffein pills.

A lot of these people will be singing a different tune when Sugary/Fatty Foods/Drinks are taxed. 34% of Americans are obese and 32.7% are overweight.

I have always wished that every smoker in the entire United States would simultaneously quit smoking on the same day just so the anti's would realize the financial ruin they are trying to plunge the country into.

Cigarettes are the highest taxed product in the country and without those tax revenues our entire system of government would begin to break down to the point they would need to drastically increases every other tax that exists.

I would just love to see the face of an anti when their federal withholding tax doubles in one weeks time.

Its just a dream I know.

I could say the same thing about cheeseburgers and how it's the source of world's obesity. Honestly, I don't think the person posting his/her ramblings about "smokers = drug users" would hesitate one bit to bashing fat people or caffeine drinkers. I chalk it up to the internet/open forum. Everyone's anonymous so it's like giving them a free license to ridicule and bash people, the very same people he/she probably encounters everyday.

Can you imagine cussing/bashing the people who serve you, your food IRL(in real life)? You'd no doubt get a plate full of 30% spit.

You can usually find the same people making those comments at Starbucks getting a fix of caffeine, then follow them to the liquor store to get supplies for their alcohol fix
Don't forget, too, the same ones who complain about the smell are usually the ones wearing some foul smelling cologne that can choke you to your knees from 20 paces away.

It's a shame they don't tax stupidity.

Howard has this exactly correct. I wouldn't base what the world thinks about us e-smokers from the "Intardwebz".

I don't own a TV (by choice) so I live on the net basically. Playing games, reading forums, voice chat, text chat, etc... I encounter these knobs all the time. And I've come up with a saying for it:

"The quality of one's character can directly be gauged by how much of an a$$hole one is while anonymous on the internet."

A very large percentage of people will act horribly when knowing there are no consequences behind it.

And this is why we can't have nice things....

I think the people posting probably are dipping their 5th donut in their 3rd coffee as they type! :)

I made this comment to a guy not long ago.

"I've never killed anyone by driving while I smoke."
