He's been after me for years to give up analogs. When I told him I had quit he asked how did I do it. I showed him the e-cig and he asked me to demonstrate for him. Imagine my surprise, there I was vaping in the doctors office in front of a doctor loving every second of it.

He was impressed there was no smell and asked a lot of questions such as the cost, maintenance and what I put in it for it to produce smoke. I showed him a bottle of juice and he read the ingredients label and pulled up pg on the internet. He smiled and said its even FDA approved.

He also stated he had heard and been reading about the electronic cigarttes but had never seen one. He was fascinated with it and said he was going to recommend it to all of his smoking patients. It gets even better, he also said he would tell all of his doctor friends and other doctors in the office about the e-cigs. I gave him the name of a sight where he could buy an e-cig and suggested he should have one on hand to show his patient. He said he would discuss that option with his staff.

My friends we are making progress one person at a time!

Oh by the way this doctor has never spent so much time with me even for my medical condition. Lol !

That's fantastic! Thank you for sharing that info.

My husband's cardiologist was more cautious about it, but still thrilled that my husband had quit smoking. At least he had nothing negative to say about vaping, other than he "just didn't get it". Then again, I'm guessing he's never been addicted to nicotine, so...

I told my doc and he was really happy. He prescribed me Chantix once when insurance started to accept coverage, but it was causing dangerous dreams. I gave him a demo. It is the only product to truly help smokers to quit 100%. Chantix is going to bankrupt. :D

I believe you may be correct about Chantrix. I tried it and had to stop due to extreme nauseated stomach. No side effects from vaping other than broke, lol .

It's great that your doctor approved, but the skeptic in me still has that little bird in my mind saying "In 10 years they're going to find out vaping is worse for you" and that birdy also feels weird about recruiting doctors themselves to the cause. There's no doubt it makes us feel better than smoking does, but I can't help but feel weird. Silly little thought here.

I hear ya my friend, Chantrix made me so sick every single dose for every single day of the 8 weeks i took it. I am the expert and snake oil methods of quitting. The patch, the gum, inhaler, sucrets thing, hypnotizism, cold turkey, Zyban, yada yada yada. Done it all and nothing helped me till my eGo came along.

I maybe be spending all of my money on juice and the like now, but it is SO worth it. My life has changed for the better, already feeling the smoke clearing from my lungs, more energy and happier to boot. I no longer smell like the devils backside and my fingers arnt yellow.

Starting a little diy to see if i can save a little money and have some fun, but even if not i am so much happier.

Thats not the skeptic in you, it's the worrier.
You are right about doctors 'tho. Remember "4 out of five doctors recommend Winston cigarettes" Credit to Stanley Lomas for that bit of wisdom.

Actually its not that silly as I have thought the same thing also and I bet alot more vapers feel that way than we think.
