E-Cig in a movie - The Tourist with Johnny Depp as the vaporer

Did a search and didn't see any related threads so I dunno if I'm the first to mention this or not. But I thought that it was pretty cool that the e-Cig got some use in a movie. Not sure which one it was he was using, but he makes mention of it a couple times and uses it like a true e-cig user would. Very frequently I know there were some e-cigs given away in a care package to the stars for the Oscars which gave the e-cig a moment of fame. But I thought this was different as it shows Johnny actually using it throughout the movie. Pretty cool movie too if you haven't seen it

I saw the film in the theatre, and although I love Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, the film was pretty bad. And, Johnny Depp's character is pretty nerdy, so his e-cig was sort of in line with horn-rimmed glasses and pocket protectors. His transition to virility was demonstrated by him tearing into a pack of cigarettes. That being said, it was a film to promote Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, not a film to promote e-cigs I just hope that e-cigs don't become a way to portray nerdiness or a suppressed wild or creative spirit. That'd suck.

He sure didn't seem to want to smoke them though. And I believe the only reason he got the smokes is because he lost the e-cig somewheres. And yeah, sorry about the double posting. I searched it every way I could first. Guess I'm behind the times lol.

Thats a really interesting statement. I never thought about publicity being bad for e-cigs but you could be absolutely right...
