I just watched the movie and 'kinda' liked it... He refers to vaping as smoking. :-\

"you mind me smoking?, it's not a real cigarette."
"what?"
"it's electronic, it uses the same amount of nicotine, but the smoke is water vapor, yeah, watch (Puff puff puff)."

then he puts the end against his arm then says "it's an LED light."

Oh, wow! I did that in real life. The first time I used my njoy NPRO in the bowling center after Virginia had outlawed indoor smoking, people were doing double-takes at seeing my vapor. I then put the end against my arm as if I were putting out a cigarette. That bought bug-eyed gasps. I then held it up, smiled and said, "It's not a real cigarette."

I watched this movie on a plane to Japan this week. It's slow, but as another already said... worth watching. I thought the take on the ecig was comprehensive. Depp explained it better than I've ever seen in pop media before. Also, the fact that he vaped instead of smoked was actually important for character development. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone so that's about all I'll say.

Here is a video to go along with that text. It is not the same as the first video in this thread. "Smokehaven" claims it is there cig. I'm skeptic regarding anyone getting paid for this placement if SH claims that too. If SH was the cig used it would most certianly be on there home page and it isn't. It is just plastered all over the Facebook and YT page.

I don't recall this being posted and it may have been missed so I'll post the link-

Those BMJ Tobacco Control folk can spin a yarn. I just find their play book "buzz phrases" that seem to creep into every discussion to have reached the level of absurd. Go get 'em, Elaine. I'm too worn out to play.

Done. Awaiting approval. Regarding her statement "These products may also encourage smokers who would have otherwise have completely quit, to keep smoking...." After quoting the NRT success rates and comparing them to the success rates in the Siegel and Heavner surveys, I responded, "On the other hand, given the abysmal success rate (comparatively speaking) of the nicotine abstinence approach, have you considered the possiblity that insisting on nicotine cessation may encourage smokers who otherwise would have completely quit (by switching to a less harmful alternative source of nicotine) to keep smoking?"
