Hi everyone. I just got an e-cigarette yesterday and so far loving it. But from the very beginning it has been making a gurgling sound and kind of spurting a little when I breathe in through it. I've looked for a solution and found it can happen when it's over-filled but mine is only about a quarter filled.

The e-cig I have is an innokin iTaste CLK.

I'm still trying to get used to all the lingo surrounding e-cigs, but what should I try in order to stop this gurgling sound? Or is the sound normal?

Thanks!

It sounds like you have to much juice in it. Not too much in the device but in the carto. It happens to everyone from time to time. Take the tank off the device. Take the drip tip off if you have one on there and blow through the other end {the end that screws onto the itaste} into a paper towel and clear out the excess juice. Might have to blow out the threads on the itaste too before putting it back together. Oh and blow out the drip tip too if you are using one.

Agreed, I have the same thing happen occasionally. When the coil floods, only option is to remove the juice from the coil. I just remove the coil and blow the juice out through the stem (I wipe the stem first) until I don't see any more droplets on the paper towel.

This actually happened today with an Aerotank mini that was sitting for a week with 100% VG juice. Picked it up and got the gurgling/spitting. Blew the juice out of the coil and after one draw it flooded again (not an excessive draw). I pitched the coil, cleaned the tank and filled with a different juice (50/50) and all is well. Coil was due for a change anyhow so no loss.

What pg/vg ratio juice are you vaping?

Welcome to ECF Katch00

if you hover on them...:)

PG = Propylene Glycol
VG = Vegetable Glycerine

Moved you to New Members from Simple Solutions :)

Ah, I didn't realise that, thanks!

I don't know what the ratio is. I looked on the website that I bought the liquid from and it doesn't seem to say. It's not on the bottle or packaging either.

Oh... it's an iClear16D.

Hmm, something I don't use... (falls over, gets off floor...LOL)

I'll have a think....

It's ok. Blowing through it seems to have helped a lot. It must've been flooded like others said. I'm just glad it was something pretty simple. My only question now is how to stop it happening again. My bf poured the liquid into it the first time so maybe it was his fault :D
