Kanger BCC tanks are very nice. Don't give up on them yet. I have the ProTanks 1, 2, Aero and the mini 2. And other Kangers--T3s, eVod, T2--never had a leak. I swear... I hear that the new Aerotanks Mega and Mini are even better--Phil Busardo thinks that they taste better than the Aspires, which I happen to like also, BTW.

In the meantime, check this list--maybe you'll find a solution to your problem there. Good luck!

Kanger Troubleshooting 101:

If your clearo is flooding, the connections are not tight enough--or too tight. Keep reading.

If you're using clearos and getting a burnt taste it means that not enough juice is getting to the coil and you're basically vaping dry, hot air or inhaling smoke from the gunk that's burning off of your coil. Not a good thing. Another case of bad taste maybe the tank itself--some arrive covered with some kind of nasty grease; wash them with soap and water (just the tanks--soak the coils in PGA or vodka).

There are a few things you need to remember when using a T3 or an eVod or a ProTank--in addition to keeping your coils clean and free of gunk that accumulates on them.

1) Make sure that the atomizer coil is screwed into the base tightly--every time you refill; they often come not fully tightened from the manufacturer, or may have gotten loose through repeated refills.

2) Look at all the inner seals and gaskets to make sure they haven't become dislodged.

3) Make sure that you screw the tank into its base tightly. If it's not tight, it will leak.

4) When you screw your clearomizer into your battery, do not overtighten--screw it in only until it makes contact--no farther, or you may push the center post in too deep and cause all kinds of problems, including leaking. When the draw becomes tight or the taste and vapor production begin to diminish, replace the coil. This will happen sooner (even as soon as one day of heavy use) if you're using dark, viscous, or very sweet juices. The old coil can be cleaned and dry burned.

5) Make sure you're not getting any juice in the center tube when you're filling--this will cause your eVod to leak like a sieve. If some juice gets into the tube, close the top cap, place a tissue under your tank and blow gently through the clearomizer to get rid of any excess eliquid. Also, extra condensation inside the tank may, on some occasions, drip back into the center tube. Wipe your mouthpiece dry with a q-tip or a tissue when you refill (or more often when/if needed).

6) Take an occasional "primer puff" (a slow draw without activating the battery) when you vape. It helps move the juice into the coil chamber and removes any air bubbles that sometimes form in the tank and may cause gurgling or impede proper wicking.

7) Take slow long draws rather than sharp and quick ones like we used to do while smoking cigarettes. Do not over vape, chain vape, power vape. Let the juice travel to the coil between drags.

and last but not least

8) Do not remove any flavor wicks if you're experiencing any leaking or flooding. Those wicks are there for a reason. If you feel that you have to remove a wick because your eliquid is particularly thick, do it carefully--one strand at a time. If your liquid is super thin, you can thicken it with a bit of VG (USP--pharma grade) or you can add another strand of cotton to your flavor wick. Don't add too much or you'll choke your atomizer and get a dry hit.

Also, make sure you're vaping at correct wattages; I like 5.5-7 watts.

Good luck!
Wow - My thoughts exactly ! - every last word. I may not have fifteen thousand posts like you but I know every word and device and advice you speak of. I own everything Kanger also, all models etc. I have zero problems. I gurgle a tad, and when I do, its my fault for letting it get low. I NEVER screw my tank on tight. Why would you do that? lol My best friend put hers on last night like she was tightening lug nuts. Nothing like one 50 year old woman yelling at another 50 yr old woman. At any rate - you said it perfectly. I love this post.
I was just saying to someone recently, about how so many people complain of leaking and what not, but I've got more than a dozen Kangers of all sorts and never had a problem what-so-ever.
Really love this post.

My only addition/change to what Katya said would be that for cleaning and/or drying the center tubes pipe cleaners are fantastic and user friendly. Mind you, I mean actual pipe cleaners, not the "chenille stems" you get for crafts.

They are cheap to start with, but if you hate waste you can cut them in half.

Ive had way more gurgling problems with my protank 3 than either of my protank 2's. Its to the point where I dont even use it anymore, mainly because both dual coil atomizers that came with it burned up/out within days. Ive been trying to rebuild a decent single micro with cotton wick in the protank 3 atomizer head, but each time its way worse for gurgling. Im happy with the tank 2's, bought 20 atty's for $27 shipped to my door. still using the first one out of the new pack, and ive only had gurgling issues with the ambient temp going up.(ie driving in the car with the sun on the tank...) Idk, but the last bit of advice for keeping these kanger heads alive is to keep the volts low. seems the higher voltage run thru em, the sooner they burn the wick and ruin flavor. Im having a hell of a time trying not to burn em up with the tribeca e-juice. sorry for the ramble, im new here. happy vaping.

With all the money being thrown around in this thread, I definitely have to recommend a rebuildable. I haven't touched my aerotank or Nautilus's (Nautili?) since I received my kayfun. It is simply the best atty for taste and vapor you can bring with you on the road, to the bar, or anywhere else. I know they're hard to come by, but there are some highly recommended clones out there.

Is "gurgling" the same as "crackling"?

I find that if my Evod isn't "crackling" I don't get a good vape, but to me, the "gurgling" is a sign of flooding?

Still a newb here...

Snap crackle pop is good! It means that your coil is doing its job.

Gurgling and spitting hot juice may occur when the eliquid level in your tank is very low or if you have some condensation in the center airflow tube. Not good. Add eliquid and wipe off any condensation with a Q-tip or a tissue. You can also try a primer puff (put your fingers around the base of your eVod to close off air holes and take a couple of gentle draws without activating the battery).

buy a RSST..... nearly impossible to make them gurgle... :)

Brad already owns an eVod and is trying to make it work well--which isn't difficult. Suggesting he gets something else doesn't really help. :) I use Kanger clearomizers and they work very well--after a bit of a learning curve.

I'm vaping on a new aerotank right now and I've had no issues with it at all. In fact, I'm thinking of getting a few more. I looked at the aspire as well but it's too freakin' big!!
Good post Katya!!!

Thanks.

Which Aspire are you looking at? I have a small ET-S (eGo style). They also have e-pen style clearos--really cute. And they are about to launch a mini Nautilus!

The T3 was a loser--that's why Kanger immediately introduced the Aerotank. But you can buy an Aero airflow base--it's sold separately--and convert your T3 into an Aero tank for a few bucks!

Kanger AeroTank Base also known as the Aerobase

if i get the 'gurgling' i just unscrew the tank hold it up to a piece of tissue and blow gently threw which should clear out any excess liquid in the flooded tank

^^^This^^^ Kanger BCC's tend to gurgle and flood after refilling and breaking the vacuum in the tank. Unscrew, and gently blow through it from the drip tip into a paper towel. Gurgling and flooding can also mean it's time to change the stock head or rewick if you are rebuilding.

The huge post @Katya did, is the correct way to enjoy Kanger bottom coil Clearomizers. When you get the gurgle, it means there's a flood. A better solution then blowing back down the mouthpiece, is to wrap the bottom and shake hard, maybe three times, letting gravity do it's thing and hopefully the vacuum will start back up after ejecting the excess juice in the coil chamber.

For the Kayfun lovers, we have the same issue, but can be taken care of by closing down on the air flow and vape without taking a drag, to burn off the excess. I use a dripper and the Aqua, which is dual coil smaller tank version of the Kayfun, because of the build deck. Yes the Kanger tanks are wonderful, when they work right, but the 101 on Kanger tanks are the best options IMHO in having a perfect vape from those products...

Keep strong, Vape long, keep moving on!!!
