So, I'm a Newbie to vaping. I recently saw and learned about E-Cigs thru an ad as I was surfing around Facebook. :2cool:The add was for Blu Cigs. After searching thru their website some I was amazed at how much better of a choice this was over smoking regular cigs, and impressed by the look and design of the Blu brand. I decided to sleep on it for the night only to go to bed and toss and turn for a couple of hours with all this new and amazing info running thru my head.:) Finally, on an impulse at 1 am after not being able to sleep I placed my order with Blu for a starter kit in white.

I have since done research (because me being me, I have to know AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE about something that I'm trying) and it didn't take long to find this site. The info here is great!!

After a little bit of reading here on this site I was initially bummed at the thought that my purchase of Blu was going to be a loss. There are many complaints about the product (aside from Customer Service sucking) that seemed to be pretty unfavorable. But I've taken everything I've read into consideration (even tho at this point I'm about 1-2 shipping days away from my very first E-Cig).

Doing a bit more reading I've found people that have shared their mods and also have learned that refilling the carts is the best (and cheapest) route to go with the Blu brand. All of which I'm going to try, hopefully with the help of people here. It seems that the Blu is a pretty good product when mods have been done. But, it also seems that every product is that way. I'm more than willing to do the mods it takes to get a good vaping experience and hopefully fine tune them so that when the hubby decides he's ready for vaping I can make his experience better than my first will probably be.

I understand that vaping is not smoking so I really am going into this whole thing with zero expectations and KNOWING full well that I'm most likely going to have to mod my Blu to make it the best for ME.

I absolutely love this site, the info here is amazing and hoping that I can get adjusted to the e-cig way within a short amount of time so that I am quickly comfortable mod-ing my Blu for the best experience.

I am still awaiting my Blu but am excited for it to get here, I can't wait to get it and use it for the first time!!!

If you have any advice or mods on the Blu that have worked for you, PLEASE feel free to post em. I'm game to try any mod out there!

Welcome to vaping Kaila (love your name BTW) and it's definitely an excellent alternative to smoking. I've been 100% tobacco free since the day I got my first one (I started with a DSE 901) and just upgraded to an eGo and love it just that much more!!

been vaping just over 3 months (105 days to be exact) started with a titan, then upgraded to an ego, the ego makes the experience just that little bit better, the extended battery life takes all the frustration out of it, since having an ego (actually upgraded to mega auto) i have never once ran out of battery life in a day of vaping...and we're talking over two months since i bought it.

ive never had a blu, i dont know anything about it..but chances are you will be buying another PV, i dont think anyone sticks with their first buy..its usely bought because it looks the most like a cigarette, or because its described as a good newbie device..well one day you won't be a newbie and you will upgrade.
So don't feel angry or frustrated if it doesnt turn out to be what you want, just use it learn more and save up a bit and get a "more advanced" model. look for battery life and vapour/flavour when researching, this is what will matter most.

Lol thanks heather! And thanks for the tips for my next selection christoff. I have no doubt that I will end up upgrading to something else, tho I'm fairly certain I will stick with auto. At this time my main concern is getting something that performs well will still looking and feeling the most like an analog. (On hindsight I am certain my sub conscious self went with the blu for these reasons) I can't say that the cigs with the buttons interest me at all. So, I'm sure I'll be doing further shopping pending no HORRIBLE side effects to PG or anything like that (yea, I've been thru the side effects thread....) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good experience, I currently have no known allergies to any foods or anything so I'm hoping that's a good sign right off the line. But I do have to say that some of the potential side effects kinda make me leary. Still willing to try tho, most deffinately!!! Thanks again guys!

Yea, so I've read! I'm glad that there's another option out there. I've really become addicted (in a strange, information seeking way) to this site. My hubby keeps giving me crap about always being on here (whether @ home on my PC or via my Blackberry Smartphone!) I'm just completely thrilled that there even is a support site for vaping, let alone one as magnificent and extensive as this one! I feel like I just can't get enough of this place and I can't get enough knowledge about the whole thing in general!!!

It's funny.....and I think it's happened to all of us....but what we THOUGHT we wanted at first (look like a real cig; tobacco flavors only; auto battery; etc.) seems to turn 180 once we get into it for real. So....I guess I'm saying keep an open mind. The learning curve is big...and fast. Before you know it, you'll be posting in this thread telling this to some other "newbie" and you'll laugh and marvel at how far you've come. Ha. Good luck....I'm pretty sure you're going to love vaping....it's truly life changing in so many ways. Keep us posted.

I just got my kit today, and i've gotta say that i LOVE it!! lol i have a half pack that has sat here untouched for hours... i have no desire for it at all, tho i am tempted to try one, just to see... i'm so excited. and glad that i found this place. And, lastly, so far the blue does well for me, and my style of vaping, i have no complaints as of yet. i'm sure i will want more vapor in the future but for figuring things out i've learned it's a pretty good little thing and will probably always hold a soft spot for me...

Enjoying my first day of being a non smoker very thouroughly!!

Hi Kaila,

Welcome! I too purchased the blu but while waiting for it to arrive ordered another brand that I am extremely happy with. Blu does have a forum something like this one. It's called blucigforum.com

Lots of nice folks there too.

Hope you enjoy your new ecig. I've had mine now for two days and have already cut my analog usage in half. Woo-Hoo!
