Hello Everyone.

I'm Mike, I'm 29 and from Surrey in UK.

I purchased my ecig online last week and it arrived yesterday. All very exciting after reading many threads on here about the positives of the product and how the sensation feels like a real ciggi.

I have been smoking for about 10 years and it's time to kick the rotten habit.

So I hope this works for me, I am impressed so far. Has anyone actually 100% quit smoking from using these and following the lower nicotine liquid process and weening themselves off nicotine totally?

Hope you are all well.

Mike

Welcome aboard, Mike.
I started vaping mid-May and never even expected to just quit smoking tobacco after 30 years overnight. I was planning to grow my own tobacco because of the new SCHIP taxes they passed this year, and bought a DSE-901 just in case the plants didn't grow for me.

Personally, I switch between the nicotine fluids and vegetable glycerin. Haven't weened myself completely off of the nicotine yet. I'm still enjoying experimenting with DIY fluids and all of the great flavors available.

Do some looking around this site. There's loads of useful information on this hobby.

Welcome to ECF Mike!

I started vaping in mid March 09 and since my first vape i have not picked up a single analog. I smoked 1.5 pack of analogs per day.

The trick is that you have to 100% completely commit to using ur e-cig instead of analog. EXPECT IT to be tough the first few days(especially that first cigarette of the day) You will never get that replaced with an e-cig..

You will notice though that your overall health will be improved as well as your mental happiness. I will never go back to analogs if e-cigs prevail in the long run.

As for your cutting to 0 nic question: When I started I was using 11 mg and now I am down to 8mg. I feel much better and it has improved my relationship with my girlfriend that hated the smell of analogs.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck

Thanks for the welcome and info.

I will have a good look about the site - I would like to make my own refills. So you do feel the health benefits?

I work in an area where there is a lot of CO2 generated. When I was smoking every day, I would finish my job and be gasping for air. Hasn't happened once since I started vaping.

So, that would be a yes.

I've smoked two cigarettes since I began vaping. More out of curiousity than anything else.

My advise is at the beginning buy lots of juice and vape to your hearts content. Vape a lot and often every time you feel like a cigarette vape instead.

Eventually you'll naturally find yourself vaping less.

If you decide to quit totally by lowering the Mg in your juices wait until you are out of the habit of smoking cigs and are used to vaping.
