This is not a scientific poll however I can talk from personal experience. I bought my first E-Cig in March, I was a pack a day + smoker for 27 years and stopped analogs on day 1. I have tried an analog once and as soon as the smoke hit my mouth I threw it away it tasted absolutely disgusting. I have also bought E-cigs for my brother and 7 co workers one of which has been smoking for 62 years, 2 packs a day. ALL of us have stopped analogs from day 1, I dont know if this is unusual or not but I think it speaks volumes for this product!!! If the FDA succeeds they will be responsible for thousands of deaths, unfortunately signing petitions (which I have) will not put money into the hands of big tobacco, congress and whoever else is making money selling death. This is a travesty and should not be allowed. We are the only ones that can stop it by writing articles for the newspaper calling television stations writing the President and congress, anything we can do to get the message out. Don't just lay down and take it!! Sorry of topic but it bothers me immensely.

Since we got our e-cigs, my wife and I cheated once. We had moved a old-style 36inch tube TV down a flight of stairs and thought we needed a "real" cig. Turns out we didnt and got no additional satisfaction from it (this was about 2-3 days after we had started our e-cigs). I had cheated the following day b/c I didnt have my e-cig with me, but I had leftover analogs. Now its been over 2 weeks and we havent looked back.

After two months, I can't smoke a cigarette now, they taste like trash! I know the day will come when I lay the e-cig down but not today! I love it and I'm in it for 500 dollars worth so far. But, I have a nice supply laid in for the $500....500 bucks is less than ten cartons of smokes, I'd smoke 10 cartons in three months so my e-cig is an investment. This device can really help a lot of people that WANT to quit tobacco! I hope those jackasses don't ban the e-cig! Idiots, all of 'em. I cannot wait for the second or three gen of hardware to show up and get cheap so I can buy it......:D I hear more and more about homemade juice so I'm brewing some juice right now, xxx brand! ;)

Hi,
I got my first e-cig back in March, i havent quit the ciggies but i used to smoke 35 a day, now i am down to 10 a day, i dont know why i cant kick the habit of these 10 , they do taste nasty to me now, but i still cant get passed having one in the morning, then after meals and so on, maybe one day it will just click with me and i wont have any need for them few, but i am not going to beat myself up about it, 10 is still better than 35, thats 150 less fags a week and i can notice a difference in my breathing, i dont wheeze anymore this i noticed within a couple of weeks.

I can count on one hand the amount of analogs I've had in the 3+ months of vaping. The first 2 months we were completely analog free but we also don't have many friends who smoke anymore (most of us now vape). Hubby and I split a cig from time to time if we are very intoxicated and around someone who happens to have an analog. We don't puchase them anymore and haven't since we got our e-cigs.

My first post after lurking (and vaping) for about a month. I voted "cut down".

I initally cut down from a 25+ year pack and a half habit to 5-8 smokes or so a day effortlessly with my 901. I'm down to an average of 2-3 a day in the last week, with 2 non-consecutive days being totally analog free.

Something I have very recently discovered which has helped me is that I bought a 510 and use that one exclusively with the pre-loaded high nic (18 mg?) carts only on those occasions when I really want an analog. It has a slightly more cigarette-like feel and throat hit than the 901, although I prefer the 901 for the flavor and more frequent vaping (using around 12 mg strength).

I've also got a screwdriver on order. My girlfriend is already jealous :)

I'd also like to thank everyone on this super-informative and super-supportive forum.

Cheers,
~Greg

My wife and I got our e-cigs on 6/29. I have not even touched an analog since. The wife has slipped a couple of times but she has a stressful job. I have to admit the first few days took alot of will power but after that i honestly didn't even crave analogs anymore. I'm actually having fun with the pv's. There are so many flavors of juice to enjoy, you really can't get bored. Yesterday I bought some Loranns flavors from Hobby Lobby. now I get to play with new mixtures. Last night I added peppermint and chocolate drops to my Marlborough juice. I swear it tastes like a york peppermint patty. These things are awesome. My only regret is that I didn't start using e-cigs years ago

been totally off tobacco for three weeks (since June 24th).

when I first purchased I did so with the intent of eventually quitting tobacco cigs .
didn't put any pressure on myself - figured a week or two give or take.
went immediately from20-25 cigs/day to 5 on the first day.
after that anywhere from 3 to 5/day for the next few days.
less than two weeks and I was off the tobacco.
