wow!!! I doubt any nrt on the market could touch these percentages. Over 75% (so far) have completely quit!!!

Congradulations to all who have had success in cutting out as little as 1 cigarette a day, and especially those that have quit completely! I'm soooo proud of all of you!

Please keep this thread alive!

hello just have to say i love this forum i am on here a lot almost every day looking for tips tricks, etc. The problem with me is that i have smoked for ove 35 years. I have the great white, a penstyle and just yesterday i got my 501. I dont know what i am doing wrong, but i cannot get a throat hit. I have made some of my juice with lorans oil and vg. If i smoke something with hi nic i get dizzy and lightheaded immediately. And of course i am still smoking. I really could use some advice here. I know i have to quit. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance

After only a week on the Ecig, I went from 2 1/2 packs a day to 3 or 4 a day, it's just amazing to me, I really feel that I will be able to be completely smoke free within a very short period of time.

My first day with it was unbelievable. I drove the 25 mins home from work and had two analogs on the way. Got home and the package was in the mailbox. Opened it up and started vaping immediately. Only had 1 analog that night. I knew at that point that I had made the right decision.

Welcome Roxinal, sorry to hear you're having problems.

It sounds like you're having nicotine OD symptoms. You said you are using "high" nic, so you should immediately move to a medium or lower strength. Most people usually start at medium and then work up or down, depending on their needs and tolerance levels. Some people cannot use the high strengths. (Me being one)

Also, have you tried using straight VG? Some are sensitive to PG, but have great success with VG.

I hope this helps

Congrats to all, for sure.

The thing about this poll, is it doesn't actually tell us anything. It only shows what people are doing on the day they vote. We do lose people who go back to smoking.

I would love to see a poll that starts with the same basic questions, and then the time elements to each question i.e. 1 month, 3 months, 6 months.

I have no real idea what it would show, but I'm definitely curious to see!

Not only did the e-cig allow me to quit after many failed attempts with all the garbage patches, gum, and drugs (talk about vivid dreams--ouch)--the e-cig has been an exciting adventure and very interesting. The other products are a joke and simply do not work for most of us in my opinion---Sun:thumb:

Exactly... Wellbutrin made me crazy and people have died from taking that newer drug, the patch & the hallucinogenic dreams (OMG!!!!, not to mention the rash!), the gum?... spit that nasty stuff out & give me a ciggy! (not to mention, "don't eat or drink anything one hour before or after using the nasty gum! get real!!) In the first few days I cut my smoking in half without even trying. Then, I started enjoying the e-cig waaaay more (probably because my atomizer was broken in) & only thought of an analog when I woke up in the morning for a few days. In no time, if I lit up an analog, I could only take a couple of puffs & eeeewwwwww, put that nasty thing out!!! This is the first time I feel like I can put those cancer stix behind & not feel deprived. This is BETTER than smoking! It's only been 10 days for me & I don't miss analogs! AND, we are not only making a better health choice + enjoying it, but we're saving money to boot!!! I'm doin' the happy dance!!!

This is an outstanding result... However my concern lies in the safety of our alternative... It has proven to be "the" alternative...true...Yes it most likely is a lesser of an evil, but we don't even know that.. we are lab rats in a cage. for all we know one tiny fragment of the chrome from the coil gets into your lungs and your causing cancer worse then smoking it. We just dont know.

I think our chances are better with the vaping... I watched my beautiful Mother die of lung cancer and I have tried so many times to quit... this has been so easy that I bought my son a starter kit & sample juices for his 27th birthday hoping he'll just enjoy it and 'accidentally' quit too. We'll see how it goes.

I went off analogs without even noticing, but when my e-cig crashed and burned I went back to analogs, was more of a mental state of mind then anything. Most interesting thing after 2 weeks being off analogs going back ,, the taste was just awful, went from 11/2 pack of analogs a day for 17 years to zero a day on the e-cig to 3 analogs a day until my replacements came in and Oh I just love the Janty classic I just got yesterday. Doesn't bother me a bit to be without analogs.. For ever grateful that is for sure:D

Your story is almost exactly like mine. I never intended to quit, I just liked these better and after wrestling with wanting a real cig the first 3 days, it was soooooo easy!

Sooooooo easy! Like, too good to be true kinda easy! And, I have to thank you... it was your reviews/recommendations on Shawn's VX2 that helped me to finally decide which one to start with, and I'm so glad I started with this one! Simplicity that performs well... perfect for a newbie!

I'd be willing to bet that more people who try NRT & other methods go back to smoking at a much higher rate than we do! I've been both places and I like this one much better... you can only use NRT for a while & then you're supposed to be done with it (you have 6 weeks then you're on your own, eeeeek!)... this doesn't feel like an ultimatum... it's there for you when you need it. For those of us who are 'emotional' smokers or whatever... once I had quit for 3 months but my ex-husband tried to kill me & I had to evacuate/leave home/start over... of course, I started smoking again. I really think that if I'd had the e-cig at that time I would have stayed smoke free. Once you get past the 50-60 other chemical withdrawals from leaving analogs, there's no reason to look back. Vaping satisfies all the other reasons we smoked... and, it somehow magically makes analogs tatste like sh*t!!!!!!! If our country bans these, I'm moving to China, I swear!

I've totally quit after 30 years/pack a day. I can't believe it and my wife can't believe it. I don't even want an analog cig but if I had any I might have smoked some. I started e-cigs the same day I ran out of analog and just have never bought any more so the e-cig is working fine.
People are really amazed, aren't they! I can't believe the response from my family. And I couldn't be happier!

Today is Day 16 of my tobacco-free life . . . and Day 18 with e-cigs. :)

I had a 2+ pack a day habit for 30 years and had tried everything to quit.

In fact, I had given up on the idea of quitting. I figured e-cigs would help me cut down on my analog use, but almost immediately I realized that vaping satisfied a lot of my smoking urges, and I could quit . . . and so I did. :)
It's truly unbelievable. This has been a really SWEET thread to read tonight! This is one for the FDA

At first it was a little difficult to make the switch because of course i bought the cheapest e-cig around and everything i bought was truly no good but it was enough to spark my interest.

I then went to Vapor4life and bought a vaporking which was truly great but smilin ran out of product. I then went to NHaler which is the KR808D-1 and have been using this ever since.

NHaler did the trick, i have been smoking truly over 2 packs of smokes for 40 years and am now on Nhaler for good.

It is truly trying to match the product to you and not deal with the cheap ones although i bought an epuffer for $159 and both batteries are completely shot, i had to use the air in my gut to puff on the darn thing and it only lasted a couple of weeks, restocking fee of some percentage, dont know, dont care, dont buy one, sorry, just being honest.

Get the right one for you, check the reviews, and dont use a review where it says i just got this in the mail, let me open it up and try it. use the review that says i had this for a couple of weeks now and its been working fine. Everything works well when its new.

If your still on analogs you have the wrong one for you!
