I have done some searching and not come up with much research that seems understandable, people seem to be looking into watering (with saline) down nicotine liquid to use in a nebuliser, but my daughter uses saline through a compressor nebulisor, is there any research done into wether an e cig could be used? as it would be a lot quicker and possibly more efficient.
I know the main difference is an e cig uses heat, but i don't think that would damage saline?
Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post this, but any help would be appreciated!

I've never heard of watering down nicotine liquid with saline. The base liquids in e-cigs are propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerine (VG). Some people will use distilled water to thin VG-based liquids due to the thickness of pure USP VG. The boiling points of water and PG/VG are way different.
E-cigs are not for use as medical devices.

I'm guessing you could engineer some e-cigarette hardware to perform the task you wish, but there isn't anything off the shelf to do what you're asking as far as I know.

It would be way less efficient. A 6 or 7 ml dose of saline solution, or other medication, would take forever to push through an e-cig.

Then there is the fact, pointed out above, that salt isn't going to be carried along in the vapor.

If you are looking for something that is a bit more portable, they do sell portable nubulizers like the Prodigy Mini-Mist. There might be others but that is the one I have sitting on my desk.

is not the saline just salt water?..i use a nubulizer, and it contains albuteral, which is what does the heavy lifting..so i ask then would the heat ruin that ? i bet so. but so far as saline in a vap/cig, well many add a touch of saline in their juice now...

on the flip side,... i bet nic with saline/h20 would vaporize in a nebulizer, but not with the vg or pg...

Who adds saline? I'm aware of people adding distilled water. Saline solution is salt water. Salt won't vaporize under e-cig conditions.
