Hi, guys. I don't smoke cigs (once in a blue moon I used to puff a hit or two from friend's), and I hate tobacco, but I do enjoy the feeling of nicotine; is it considered wrong to do so by the community here? I understand they're usually for smokers to help them get healthier, but low doses of Nic can actually be quite healthy, what with weight loss and whatnot. The only thing that worries me is addiction, so I got 6mg juices.

Obsidianchao, welcome to the forums. :) I don't think you are alone here on ECF. There is a thread on the general section with a ton of discussion on this very thing, though I am having a beast of a time finding it at the moment. If someone has the link, would they post it? Anyway, I think there is a lot of opinion on going from non-smoking to vaping nic. Most people seem to think that if you don't have an addiction, why would you want to gain one? Truthfully, I think that the issue is usually a complex one and each individual is going to have to answer that question for themselves. Many would encourage you to not take up a habit if you can avoid it. My belief is that vaping is far healthier than smoking, and my body is telling me the same thing since switching. I doubt anyone would tell you that vaping is better than breathing fresh air and nothing more. Any time you add a chemical to your body that is not something you would intake as a natural process of being a living organism, you are not doing yourself a favor. Having said all of that though, you are the one that has to live with your decisions and actions and there are not many people that are going to judge you negatively here whether you vape or not. If vaping keeps you from transitioning to smoking, well that is an argument... Whether avoiding an addiction altogether, that should always get a big thumbs up. The point is, in my opinion, you're going to have to decide on your own what course you choose and hopefully you'll find happiness in your decision. Oh and DC2, thanks for posting that link. I couldn't find it when I went digging, but that was exactly the one I was looking for. :)
