Nobody said anything about leaders. Rank. Class. Or whatever.... but unless I've completely failed at literacy it appears a few people have been writing HowTos and other advocacy documents or references. John, Kristen, I think Randy was involved, some others editing.

Oddly enough a good portion of this thread was about where to move the right things to talk about. There has been end-results and work product that has come from all this. I don't think it's unreasonable to put some organization around that if you want it to be used. Exactly why I asked the question... Clearly by even mentioning only John and Kristen I left people out. So following their posts only wouldn't get me much better anyway.

There have been a few 'No' answers already so that puts it to rest but any implication I'm trying to classify people within the thread as leaders and followers is unfounded. -Magnus

Thanks for clarifying Magnus. I just want to make sure we don't become the "extremists" on this side of the fight.

Exactly. And since that seems like less of a priority for others, that's fine... put it to rest. To turn it into me ranking somebody above another is absurd. Recognizing their work is not the same thing as classifying them above or anyone else below. -Magnus

Actually Magnus, when you put it the way you just did, I'm all for it. If we're just talking about compiling the posts that are educational/informative and reposting them in a subforum intended for that purpose, it's a good idea. There have been a lot of valuable pieces of information and opinion written here by many of the posters in this thread that might be put to good use by more than those that view this thread. At this point, this one must seem like mostly fluff and candy to anyone viewing and it would be easy to overlook the kind of information you're talking about. However, since I haven't posted anything all that informationally useful for anyone who doesn't care what kind of dogs I have, or what I did for entertainment last Friday, that lets me off the hook and I can stay here and chat away to my hearts content on every off topic subject we can dream up. :)

Oh, now you done it... I'll be back...

I'm not sure ~how~ we're supposed to take that. Show him Smurfette and he is ready for a night on the town?

That's moderately disturbing. Somebody get this man a whisky quick before he does something ill advised! -Magnus

I built a little 5v passthru today. Not the USB type because I never wanted to be tempted to plug it in to my computer. I have what seems like a never ending pile of wall warts in various voltages and amps. I got this idea in my head that since I'm usually sitting at a desk all day I could save my batteries by plugging into the grid. All I needed to buy was a 510 atty connector and a 2.1 mm jack. It's ugly as sin, but it works...

Maybe you could add a variable regulator and tweak it for those CE2s you got. ;)
