EDIT: Wait, you can get a crock pot for $5 somewhere?

Yeah, not sure how good the little cheap ones are for cooking, but but they're wonderful for storing all kinds of corrosive stuff, and exceptional for chemical baths that need to be heated, storage and heating in one. That of course assumes exact temperatures aren't important, just heat.

Screwing up my wife's crock pot is not conducive to a long and healthy life.
:)

EDIT: Meh, doesn't matter, keeping a crock pot in the laundry room would not be cool anyway.
EDIT: The Liposack I can fold up and put in a drawer.

Just the liner is sufficient. Any yard/garage sale usually has some POS crock pot sitting out. A pyrex dish works too. Pretty much any earthernware type container. I don't charge inside usually, normally it's in the garage.

They certainly look like a good idea, but....

.... sounds like a great idea. Surprised I didn't think of it, considering I'm staring at a couple of cheapo crock pots sitting on my workbench, holding chemicals I need contained for another hobby. Looks like I should add that to my shopping list for my next trip to Walmart, thanks.

I picked mine up at Kohls on clearance.

Yet another way to make a "bunker" is to take some cinderblocks (two is sufficient) and stack them, in alternating direction (think perpendicular in orientation, but parallel in direction). The bottom one is like a table and the top one will have two charging "bunkers" using the bottom one's top plane as the bottom shelf for the "bunkers". Fill with sand (if you want), drop batteries in there, charge away. Anything pops, it's in the sand and cinderblock.

Usually you can find a couple of these at any construction site, especially if they are broken. Charging bunker doesn't have to be pretty, just functional.

To borrow your word, pfftttt.....

Let 'em watch, I've held enough clearances in the military, and after as a contractor they probably watch me anyway, (peeks out the window trying to spot the black helicopters). Not to mention my last round as a contractor was in Saudi, early 2000s, and I bought plane tickets back to the US for vacation, for cash, now let me tell you, the lists that gets you on makes air travel interesting.

As to the post at hand, I was referring to low grade sulfuric acids I use to pickle or descale gold and silver jewelry components.

Besides always glad to help someone get a raise.

Now I want one... * Goes to fridge, doesn't find any *

"Honey? Can you pick up some kosher dills the next time you're at the store."

No response...

That's right. She's still in San Diego. :sigh:

*picks up phone, dials honey*

Honey, on your way home from the airport, can you stop by and pick up some Kosher dills? Oh, by the way, did you bring me something back from sunny San Diego?

*packs up stuff, prepares go bag, straps on body armor*

Sounds good, 'cept she's taking the train (don't ask). I'm still debating whether or not to pick her .... up @4:30 in the morning when the train station is less than a mile from home.

Made some small 3 mL batches of juice tonight with the flavors I haven't tried from PA. Creme de Menthe, Passion fruit, watermelon, raspberry and pomegranate. Actually, I have tried raspberry and pom, but I mixed them together and got something nasty. I wanted to try the flavors on their own to see which was the culprit. Really like the watermelon (more of an unsweetened jolly rancher taste), especially when I drip 2:1 with the creme de menthe. The passion fruit is bit on the "floral" side. Haven't gotten to the others yet.

I realized I bought most of my flavors thinking more in terms of standalone. I really need to get some "mixer" type flavors. Any suggestions? I was thinking I needed some vanilla and maybe some chocolate. Has anyone tried any of the tobacco flavors from PA?
