Considering our wages here are about 7 bucks/hr. It seems in line, or close. But I dropped $600 a month to support 3 packs/day for me and wifey. That is an investment property here though. Never really looked at it that way till now.
$7/hr?? You've got to be kidding me! Is that minimum wage, or what?
That's poverty line, surely?

Yes, the investment property angle makes you think, doesn't it?

Cheers

yeah, I think 7.50 is minimum wage...and mcy-D's is all about minimum wage. Most places are in fact. I havent had to accept that for a few years now, but I remember those days quite clearly.

Australia's minimum wage is $15.51 per hour or $589.30 per week for an adult.
Also, we get free government healthcare for all.
There are four weeks annual paid recreation leave.
These 4 weeks are paid at 117.5% of the employee's normal pay.

Yep, I got banned ON QSMB. I went crazy and posted this wild rant:

Not sure I'd quite rank that as NSFW, but I like the logo just fine, though agree a US company would take endless abuse for it.

I wasn't trying to :censored: you, Magnus.

Don't get me wrong... I like the logo. :hubba:

If a boss happened to be looking over my shoulder with it on screen though, I'm not so sure they would appreciate it. I'm sure my bosses aren't the only ones who would think that.

What is the status of vaping gear in convenience stores and tobacco shoppes in your areas? njoy has a virtual stranglehold along the Florida highways. There are other shoppes in various locales but nothing that has made an impact in the mindshare of smokers quite yet. -Magnus

Here in El Paso, I have seen not one E-Cig/PV of any kind in a convenience store. Also none in Mall Kiosks, though I heard there was one in the Las Cruces mall, (bit less than an hour north west of El Paso). Haven't been to check on that one, though I've been actively looking for them around here since I started looking at getting one back in Feb.

Can't agree on the gun part, but I'm with you on the e-cigs. 8-o 8-o 8-o
I prefer katanas and nun chucks....But I'm more accurate with stars than pistols...no really, its sad like that. Still want a desert eagle though. The day will come when I step into the proper century and just learn how to shoot.

BTW, is that take home pay? What's the tax rate?

All pay rates mentioned are gross.

Tax is on a sliding scale, full details here.

As an example, on an income of $80K you'd pay $17,550 in tax, theoretically. However, you'd generally pay much less than this after deductions. (There are lots.)

And there are heaps of allowances a family gets, every woman who has a baby, for example, gets a "Baby Bonus" of $5,437.00!

Not sure what caliber is, but the barrel looks cool....ok, im not that bad.
Not sure I could handle it, cause bro's 45 has a bit too much spunk to it, but I recon you get used to anything. Id be wise to start with a 9 though. But until I can afford a LOTTA practice, a gun wouldnt help me in a bad encounter. Guns are the only weapon I CANT use, short of point blank. At least Im honest about it.
