I gave a friend of mine a PV this evening. We'll see how he does with it. His goal is to cut down but I'm hoping he will find he's able to cut them out.

At least he seemed enthused and I think he's been wanting one.

Maybe he'll be a convert.

Very cool phonedude,
as some of you may recall I've been trying a 0 nic PV just to get some knowledge about them and help out a friend of mine. Well...my buddy seems to be doing well with his new PV..dumped the smokes and I'm pretty much through with my experimentation with my eGO.

It's been educational that's for sure. I have a much better idea what vaping is all about, but I really don't need it any more..Matter of fact, getting a little bored with it.
I do have another buddy who also has had problems quitting for years now and depending how serious he is about trying to quit with a pv I may just very well do what you did dude and give it to him..

I am on Indian land
Yesterday was lost to lethargy and ennui born of heat. Before today follows in its footsteps, let's see if I can squeeze these things in, even if I lost the post I was replying to:

Madman, I am praying for your endearing head. Please take it to a Shaman, there are spells and potions that can reduce this suffering.

LibertrianNate, for some reason, that the removal of Lysine has such a dramatic effect makes me think it might be viral. If you can obtain some acyclovir, it will at the very least reduce the intensity and frequency of the attacks. Those things are very painful, and Listerine is going to be an irritant anyway, too much alcohol, get yourself some of that vile tasting Biotene or whatever its name is, or make your own with about 1 part hydrogen peroxide and 2 or 3 parts water.

MagnusEunson, if you want to have cute honorable mention prizes, you could award packs of the new colored cartomizer hats!

people who use KR808d-1s have shinier and more manageable hair.
 The very first time I clicked ECF, one of the things that fascinated me most was the near-evangelistic enthusiasm with which people would recommend their pet device.

And now I'm having a fine time doing it, too! That I haven't actually used anything but a KR808d-1, well, that's just irrelevant.

Shannon...lolady's blog in your sig line...

Is that an Epic Honor or what? Miss Shannon is an Authentic Distinguished Personage in the field, and since she put that link the number of people who are kind enough to try to read it has multiplied itself so many times that it now behooves me to run spell check on at least some of it. (And I know I am behind on the cartomizer section, I do have some ones in the "draft" or hosing down and ritual bath section that are being scrubbed very slowly).

I use cartomizers almost exclusively....I am really liking the clear ones...easy to tell when it's getting dry...

phonedude, do you know if any clear ones come in the regular resistance flavor that is safe to use with the 5 elecrolyte hookah-doodles?

I keep reading about the "low resistance" ones and know not to get them, but it seems like every company and its ferret is coming out with a NEW! IMPROVED! cartomizer, and one of the new improvements almost always seems to be "low resistance."

I was careful to get the plain Original Recipe ones from litecigusa, but next time I'd like to try some of the new ones, that are clear, hold more juice, do a cute little dance, etc, but they seem to all be made for the same people who love the "2nd generation" KR808d-1 hookah-doodles because they have the reduced, milder "throat hit" sensation like the wireless ones.

I'm the opposite. If they were going to be in there fooling with stuff anyway, why not make a wireless one with 5 full electronuggets? ooOps. Rambling again...

Eris! Welcome to discordia...

That was one of my favorite Greek myths when I was a little girl!
What an unexpected trip down memory lane! Thank You!

I can't remember if this one is up in the Collection yet or not, but as summer always makes me long for tundra:

I was always big into Greco/Roman and Egyptian Mythology. I'm a veritable fountain.

I like the one on the left I haven't worn a fur lined hood since I was 4 but I looked adorable in it.

I have some 24mg and 18mg juice from vendors I could send her way. I could also send some of my DIY in any strength requested.

Just realized my stash of bottles is getting seriously low. Where did we decide was the best place to buy them again?

WAAAAAY back in the thread there was a link to some super cheap plastic bottles. The shipping is a bit steep at $4.99, so you'd have to order over 100 bottles to maximize your value. I was going to get just some 3ml bottles, think you could get 117 or 118 of them before shipping doubled....

I have plenty of the 3ml ones, the bubble shape, not cylinder shape, if someone needs a few. I hated the droppers on the cylinder shapes.

Alright... I need some help. My August member contest will be oriented toward developing new vendor-neutral advocacy banners, website badges, stickers, and QR codes. Directing people toward a yet-to-be-established thread/sticky or something within ECF with the hope of influencing switchers.

I've slowly been crawling both the original thread and this one for the best posts to consolidate, edit, lists of resources, etc.

What I need help with is the prize pool. For the Vermillion prize pool it ended up being ~$230 total. I'm thinking that's also the range here. The question is, should there be one winner and one big prize/package. Two/three winners with equal prizes? A graduated prizing scale across three people?

Thoughts appreciated. Prize suggestions appreciated too. -Magnus

What a great idea! I couldn't find a vendor-neutral banner when I first joined.

Sallie, honestly the lowest failure rate and most consistent cartos for 510s are the Boges standards and LRs and the SMOKtech dual-coils. Filler and filler. Every time I try another 510 carto, including the latest CE2s, I get more failure than I find they're worth. However, if you want a clearo, then the CE2s are still the best of the available. -Magnus

Yup, filler seems to hold as most consistent cartos. Boges are great in 2.4. The 2.0 gets kinda hot without a drip tip. 2.4 is close enough in production, but not as hot. That goes for 808 and 510. I think bloog uses 2.4 as well.

Behind you
Magnus, what you got going on with the prize pool?

I haven't decided yet. Some other people have commented that such a contest would be unfair because many people don't have design skills. I'm not sure I care about that, I'm trying to help w/ advocacy and I want it to be slick. If I didn't offer it up to ECFers, I'd be paying a designer anyway.

And Pamdane brought up the idea of people selling the mod for profit. Which I try not to care about..

However, the first, where people think it wouldn't be fun, seems to really bother a lot of people. I'm not sure if I should care. I just gave away a chunk of my change for fun the last contest. It's not like I'm gaining commercially from this one. I'm trying to help advocate e-cigarettes and ECF w/o even having a moderators interest in the joint.

Anyhow, still thinking.. -Magnus

I'm trying to help w/ advocacy
It seems to me that the person who will make the best banner will be so much on the same page that their real prize would be getting to contribute to the advocacy effort, and being able to chortle to themselves that they're the one who designed it.

They will want that more than they want whatever thing you decide to award.

Some other people have commented that such a contest would be unfair because many people don't have design skills. I'm not sure I care about that
If you decide you do care about that, you could always also decide that the winner will be the best banner design concept, and that entries don't necessarily have to be all perfectly technically executed and what they used to call camera-ready, back in Prestype days.

After the contest there will be plenty of volunteer nerds who would want to do the clicking just for the fun of being part of it all.

Well I think it would be really cool and not every contest can be for everybody. I feel like most of the people on the forum are pretty honest if you offer up the mod then stipulate if you win a prize you can only use it for yourself or give it to someone you find deserving.

ETa: and this from someone who didn't qualify for your last contest OR this one :p
