Alright... I need some help. My August member contest will be oriented toward developing new vendor-neutral advocacy banners, website badges, stickers, and QR codes. Directing people toward a yet-to-be-established thread/sticky or something within ECF with the hope of influencing switchers.

I've slowly been crawling both the original thread and this one for the best posts to consolidate, edit, lists of resources, etc.

What I need help with is the prize pool. For the Vermillion prize pool it ended up being ~$230 total. I'm thinking that's also the range here. The question is, should there be one winner and one big prize/package. Two/three winners with equal prizes? A graduated prizing scale across three people?

Thoughts appreciated. Prize suggestions appreciated too. -Magnus

Gosh, Magnus...when will you have a contest for those of us with absolutely no talent whatsoever? :)

Bad news on the sapphire front. My first two are headed for the garbage. One has a distinctly burnt taste, and it never got low on e-liquid. The second is leaking like crazy. I picked it up earlier to see if my husband was low on juice and it was a little messy but I wasn't sure if it was greasy fingers (chicken cutlets for dinner, no utensils required and perhaps no napkins either?) or from juice, so I didn't worry that much. I just went to refill it, and when I put the juice in, the breathing side filled up as well as the juice side. When I took the cone off, it was a drippy mess. :( I suspect there is a crack between the two chambers. Maybe I'll try to take them both apart tomorrow and see what I can see.

I gave a friend of mine a PV this evening. We'll see how he does with it. His goal is to cut down but I'm hoping he will find he's able to cut them out.

At least he seemed enthused and I think he's been wanting one.

Maybe he'll be a convert.

+1 He is way ahead of the game with a free PV and an expert to help him over the hump. Well done.

There's a thread about leaky Sapphires in the GV subforum. I believe one member mentioned removing the tank and fluffing up the wick.

Sorry to hear they're not working out for you, Sallie :(

Thanks Randy. I only dropped $16 on them if you count what came in the kit so it's not a huge loss, drop in the bucket compared to what I've spent in the last 3 months trying to find the right juice. My husband is happily vaping away, so it's not a total loss. I just have to find something quick to replace them with so I can keep him going with the 510. I wanted them to work so I could use them on my volts, but something is sure to come along sooner or later that is leak proof. For now I'll sick with the horizontal coils on the 808. I only have about 70 of them left anyway.

Sallie, honestly the lowest failure rate and most consistent cartos for 510s are the Boges standards and LRs and the SMOKtech dual-coils. Filler and filler. Every time I try another 510 carto, including the latest CE2s, I get more failure than I find they're worth. However, if you want a clearo, then the CE2s are still the best of the available. -Magnus

Thanks. The next time he comes over he'll probably have it modded. :)

So now I have to go looking for something to replace them. I'd prefer some type of cartomizer for a 510, and I have no clue. Any suggestions?

I agree with Magnus. Can't beat the Boges or the Smoketechs. I use both LR and dualies.

I didn't want you to buy those... *sighs shaking head......
Ok I just bought these myself and they work so well!
I'm surprised since I hate cartos.
These things rock and this was what the Vortex and Sapphires should've been I think.
Crystal Clear Vaping is the bomb imo there are threads touting how great this company is and their products right here on ecf.
If you want I'll send you a few of these Sall to try out.

Let me know by email.

I think you'd be surprised...

I think you would too for some a chance to win a pv they might not see themselves ever being able to buy might be irresistable.

Sall I'm having very good luck with the CE2 revisions 5s but I don't use the clear ones. I like the flavor better than with the foam filled carts. My 1st one is 7 days and counting no problems. If you think you might be interested I'll keep you posted on how they do for me.

I'm trying to get a friend started on vaping. She has a kit and a couple of juices (very graciously donated by some lovely folks), but she needs some tobacco juices, and I don't have any, since I don't care for them. If anyone has any tobacco juices that you no longer want and would like to donate to a new vaper, please let me know and I'll provide you with her address to send to her directly.

Also, if you have any recommendations for inexpensive and tasty tobacco flavor samplers that I could purchase for her (and which flavors to get), please let me know. I hear the VR tobacco vapes are good, but I don't know which ones to order. Money is tight, but I could probably swing a sample pack.
