That would probably mean it would get moved. Luckily (or unluckily - depends on your outlook ) since it started as an ecig discussion it doesn't belong in the OUTSIDE

I'm gonna go with lucky, the thread has certainly wandered a bit in focus, but always comes back to the two core topics of e-cig advocacy / information. I for one have gotten some great advice, found new products to add to my list to try, and learned a great deal about the various research out there from this thread.

That and I think this sitting in the OUTSIDE would chase some of the regulars away after a bit.

... Magnus people might do good to wonder am I Truly MAD or is it everyone else...and I'm the one in his right mind...or is it the left...

and if you fall to the dark side then I must whitewash you and nail you back to the fence like he rest of the posts...

(runs back into the darkness flailing arms babbling about little green gummies)

I'm voting for you being the sane one.

Thank You! I would not have thought it possible that one phrase could at once contain such a sweet compliment and such a scathing indictment of some forlorn and unspecified educational system.

Nope, far too eloquent to have been an English lit professor.

I'd guess something at least tangentially tech related if I had to guess. Doubt she'll ever answer though, she is VERY good at the deflection game.

I'd be outta here in a hot minute. The OUTSIDE is too out there for my taste. I read over there and can't believe my eyes. Shannon, you're very brave.

Okay, I've had people agree with me, I've had people insist drinking pickle juice is gross, but I've never heard of it in a popsicle. Now I'm thinking I am odd because I find myself considering it. Though in my defense, weeks at 100+ degrees Fahrenheit will make you consider freezing anything.

Halsey

The only time I've heard of non-kids drinking dill pickle juice is just before they have a PT for a job! :)

My children LOVE dill pickles, will eat a whole jar in one sitting, and would drink all of the juice too (if we let them).

e-cigs discussion is expressly forbidden OUTSIDE!. oldsoldier said this thread doesn't belong there, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Beautiful morning for my run this AM. Cool, not too hot or humid, which was a gift considering the last week or so.

Sidenote: if you have a problem with chiggers (those little biting bugs), pickle juice (vinegar really) works wonders. Drink a cup or so of that a day or two in a row, the bugs leave you alone. That and "Skin So Soft" worked wonders when I was out in the field.

Don't know about hot pickled bean juice but Dill pickle juice is great.

Glad he appreciates it enough to mention it.

Halsey

I have never heard of hot pickled beans but I assure you if I ever see them a jar is going in my cart. And I would probably drink the juice also. Them sound good.

:)

I noticed...and tech doesn't make eloquence...a lot of reading does...although I am a techie...I have the occasional bouts of eloquence due to the multiple whole libraries worth of books I have read...and no that is not an overstatement...probably more like an understatement since I now have an IPL membership...I read at a prodigious pace...lol

C C C cant help myself...must read more...UGHHH!!!

and on a side note this brings to mind a theory I have about people missing their TRUE calling in life...I may actually have to blogrant that one as I am one of those but not by my choice or design...it appears Lolady may be too...

Oh not worried, I understood what he said. I was more making a comment about the OUTSIDE than I was about a title change.

... More than anything else, these ecigs need to be seen as LEGITIMATE. Legitimacy in the eyes of the nay-sayers will breed it's own kind of support. Right now when the FDA is hemming and hawing about whether to ban nic juice outright for "our safety" isn't really the best atmosphere for a reasoned debate. Having that health canada recommendation on the books still isn't really helping get the positive word out either.

I'm curious to know in what way you think they "need to be seen as LEGITIMATE."

As a quit smoking aid? As an alternative to smoking analogs?

Morning everybody,
Had a discussion with Boudee regarding a subforum for e-cigs or making that post of Randy's a sticky. Sorry to have to tell you that she doesn't want to do either at this time.

She's a little worried about the balance being tipped toward e-cigs and doesn't feel it would be fair to the rest of the forum, as all the other NRT's won't be represented. She doesn't want to make a sub section for all of them, so that's out.

She doesn't want to make a sticky of that post either for pretty much the same reason. She does say however, that you are welcome to help out on the forum.
She said she was following my post on the e-cig that went for about 7 pages and was a little concerned, but didn't touch it. I know I took a little heat myself from a couple of folks that PM'd me and we're not too pleased about my post. Sorry guys, but I tried and she's the "Boss Lady"

We should take care to be sure we are not overzealous in our wish to help people...we know these things help and with support from knowledgeable people are wildly successful but there are many that are resistant to change...ESPECIALLY sudden and drastic change...

we must take great pains not to overshadow the true purpose here...to get the word out...and help people quit dethstix regardless the method used...

Drink a cup or two of vinegar? I'd rather be bug bait!

Pickle juice is much more palatable. Spending a week or two in the bush, bugs can really be a nuisance, especially chiggers since they can be a pain for a week or so after the bite.

You can also take a strong B-complex or eat brewer's yeast.

OooO Didn't know that. Learned something today.

Pantyhose cut into sleeves and greaves helps too. Doesn't look right if you aren't wearing something over it, like camis.

I would say you hit it ding on Madman,
I have found that's what seems to be the main problem..As usual it's human nature not to like change all that much and it's still way to new to many people. Naturally when some pm'd me complaining about my post most used the reference, not FDA approved, blah, blah, blah.

If you just proceed as you suggest I would say it'll all fall in place in time.
