I thought about Orly for a long time before I fell asleep last night. The guy, has tried CT since at least Dec but no wonder he's having such a hard time with it at 70 cigs a day. That's just something quitting CT has got to be near impossible to do as he has said in his posts, he is weak when it comes to willpower. He's on here now, name is orly1777. He's from San Cristobal, Dominican Republic - Guys.. this might not be easy, but help me locate someone he can contact locally that can help him better than we can through the net. I think that kind of support would do him good.

I'm getting matches through search but just the threads not the exact posts.

I think someone should recommend cartomizers to Orly. He sounds like he would do best with a system that requires minimal fuss to get and keep working, and likely wouldn't be interested in going very far beyond his initial purchase. With a few good batteries/chargers, he should be set and only need to buy additional cartos and juice as he progresses.

My personal preference is KR808 batteries and passthru, with CE2-X Clearomizers. I do also use them on my 2 Ego batteries with an adapter (had to try the Ego-T... great idea, but needs a lot of work). I think now I would choose Riva batteries over Ego just because they seem closer in performance to 808s. Again, this is just personal preference.

Edit: NM, John was posting while I was... I'll tell him myself :)

Alot of the "tobacco flavors" out in the wild these days has a nutty, peanut buttery flavor added. Most I've seen steer a course between nutty/pb and smoky/piney, with slight variations for RY4 (carmel/vanilla added), etc. My current supply from a recent honeyvillevapor sale is all on the PB side for flavor.

It took me a while to figure out what that taste/smell was. I knew I really liked it. Then I was making a peanut butter sandwich (which I seldom do) and I thought "that's it." I don't have peanut butter flavoring yet so I just add some of the juice I have for flavor. Pretty good stuff.

With regard to the PB, I'm ok with it so far, but I have yet to get any decent tobacco-ish flavor on the other end of the spectrum too.

I've wanted to pick up some tobacco absolute, along with some seedman flavors like commercial, etc. I've got a sample of virginia fire cured flavor, but w/o the absolute, it's more like I'm tasting liquid smoke and pine needles.

it seems nobody wants to respond to my "mitigation" post, which I thought would be helpful.... :(

EDIT: I stand corrected, even got katiem to respond!

I looked and found it. I didn't feel I should comment because I don't crave them anymore but others replies will be interesting.

You might be interested in the Flavor Art Tobacco flavorings as well. I've so far used Maxboro Ultimate (my current all-day favorite), Cowboy, and 7 Leaves Ultimate. Still working on the cowboy, it's needs something to get it "right". With Maxboro, I use it straight with 2% of Cotton Candy flavoring (which is really a sweetener), and the 7 Leaves is great as is. I plan to try the other FA Tobacca flavors at some point.

All 3 of the above I mix at 70% PG, 30% VG, and 6% flavoring. They make a very clean, clear liquid that is very easy on my CE2-X cartomizers (very little gunk build up).

Thanks for the rec on the FA. I've heard others in the DIY section use them alot, but never got a reply on first-hand experience. Onto my wishlist it goes!

Have you any experience with this 70/30 mix on "normal" cartos? Boge LR (2.0) or similar? Another question related is have you tried diff levels of nic, and if yes, how does that affect the taste for you?

Behind you
Since flavoring have come into topic the last dozen of so pages.... two things to report/suggest:

- The Vegemite attempt was ill-advised. I'm going to bottle it up in a few small 6ml bottles and offer it up on Treasure Chest. It's _EXACTLY_ like what I thought inhaling warm Vegemite might be like. Odin laughed at me.

- I've been doing a lot of DIY with Teavana teas for flavoring. Earl Grey Creme produces a fantastic result when mixed w/ VG and nic. Sweetened just a touch. If you've got a Teavana, ask them for a few samples which can product plenty of DIY flavoring before you invest in their teas.

I haven't tried these mixes on conventional cartos yet, mainly because once I got in my first CE2's, I haven't looked back. I did find a couple used/cleaned ones in my "drying bowl" yesterday, so I'll give it a shot. They're the older "Turbo" cartomizers sold by VaperNine. No idea who the manufacturer was.

Another question on the CE2's, will they fit onto an ego/riva with the cone? Been wanting to pick up some of these for some time...

thanks again!

I did have to modify my Ego cone slightly... I just ground off about 1/8" with a dremel. I use 2.4-2.6 Ohm on the Ego battery, and 2.6-2.8 on 808s. With a Riva, you might want to go with the higher value. But, the difference isn't that much. The lower ohm vapes a little warmer on the 808s, and the higher value has slightly lower performance on the Ego, but the difference in either case is tolerable.

I held off on CE2s for a long time because of the issues some reported, but they've matured very well. Just make sure you're getting the absolute latest production run (preburned fat wick, and thicker tubes on the clears). I've been using one full-time for nearly a week, I've only had to clean/dry-burn once and it's showing no leaks or cracks. And, it required no fiddling out of the box, great wicking and performance from the get-go! :thumb:

I like too that they transition very quickly from one flavor to another, at least with the flavors I'm using.

This will be interesting to watch between his "success" to how people either embrace or shun him for changing sides.
I don't know how people will treat him over there, but I can pretty much predict a couple of things...

1) He WILL be successful, because it seems around 80% of us are sucessful
2) He will become like us, extremely passionate about electronic cigarettes, thinking they are a miracle
3) He will become like us, wanting to tell everyone and help them too

Because that is what happens over here on this board.
Anybody who doesn't go through all three of those stages is an exception to the rule.

So yeah, it will very interesting to see how they react to him.

I think the Dominican Republic is just about the only place in the world I have NOT seen someone from.
But I am pretty sure the mods have the ability to search profiles, so maybe if you ask them to take a look?
