WOW, I just found a pic of a pure white one with a google search. Awesome looking actually. Anybody know if that's for real? Do they really come in pure white? Doesn't look like an albino, although I have no experience with albino snakes, so...

Yup, it's for real: Black Eyed Leucistic - Google Search

Wasn't going to post, use up enough time trying to keep up with this thread :-}

But you had to go and start talking snakes, and now I can't help myself. Yup, leucistic Ball pythons are real, along with many other 'morphs' as they're called. Balls are fairly easy to keep, and as Neriah mentioned generally calm, so they are very common as pets. Which means they are one of the pythons most commonly bred in captivity, which leads to all kinds of patters and such being bred for. Personally with ball pythons I was always partial to the Piebalds, kind of part albino, part not. Truly odd but beautiful looking animals.

That said, I've been following this story from the begining, and would like to express my amazement, both at all you've managed to accomplish, and the ability of the lot of you posting on the QSMB at holding your tempers. I'd have lost it long ago. Congratulations on the people you've helped, and any one you've made think a bit too.

Okay, everybody back to the general rambling of the thread, as interesting as the story is , it's the off tangent musing about pets, life in general, not mention great bits of advice, (have to try polident to clean my attys now), that have kept it a constantly entertaining read. Just lurking it's starting to feel like I know you all now.

Randy - how many do you have? Maybe you could mail a couple to Gary to try before he buys.

I can probably get some from the vendors as quickly as anyone could get them to me. I just didn't want to order any till I get back home. Don't want them sitting on my front porch. But thanks.

Morning (here) All,

Good to see the thread's still rocking along, and being read by lolady!

At the bottom of the page there's a section called "Thread Information" which shows who's browsing the thread. Most names are blue (as I look now) but one is purple and one red. Anybody know the significance of the colours?

Cheers

I had always wondered about that too.

Wow I finally caught up. Gone one day and you guys made me read and read. LOL

I made it through my first trip using the hookah doodle just fine. That was another of my "cigarette triggers" so I wondered how it would go. As usual puffed and puffed and didn't even think of nasty cigs.

Good to be with family and having a great time as usual.

I didn't get a response on mine either, it took about 2 weeks, IIRC. But it did get done. Just hang in there.

I just thought Randy could send you one or two to try. That way you'd know if you want to order a whole bunch.

I had one completely fall apart on me yesterday - juice everywhere cause it was full. Figures.

I don't know if I can still use it now if I put it back together. It's just sitting here in pieces on a paper towel staring at me. :(

Did the tube crack, or just come off the base?

Everything came out and when I tried to shove it back in, the cup at the top went off kilter and it seems to sit a little sideways.

My camera's batteries are dead otherwise I'd post a picture for you to see.

I don't know if it's still usable. Is it?

And yes, there is a small crack at the bottom of the tube.

Thanks Clay. I won't be concerned then. I knew Kristin had also had hers changed. I think I just wanted some input from someone with experience.

I will order some in the name of experimentation. LOL

(But I won't order very many)

I personally dont mind more than 4 legs as long as it doesn't bite me,sting me, or crawl on me while I'm sleeping...heck I pick up caterpillers and geckos and carry them back outside...and yes spiders too...
Most bugs I catch in a big clear plastic jar and take outside.
The black widow I drove out to an open field far away from the house and let it go there.

Bees just won't cooperate with the whole jar thing though.
So I get them to crawl onto a newspaper and carry them outside that way.

My wife has to do the dead animals though, like mice or birds.
If I know for sure they're dead, I can do it, but if there is any question then no way.
