Hmmm, I had a cat with extra toes on three paws.

He figured out - on his own - how to shoot an elastic across the room. He'd chase it around forever!

I wonder if Bailey could do that?

I don't know I don't really try to train my cats beyond the standard stuff...stay off the counters don't use the couch as a scratching post... in fact I think they train me.

For instance Queen Sneakers likes to lay on the file cabinet to the right of my desk and she has trained me to keep it clear of all obstructions (by repeatedly knocking them off of course). Also when she wants to go outside she stands on said cabinet and stares at the door waiting for me to open it and then set her on the floor... yeah I'm a whole new kind of whipped.

Our four cats all like to play fetch, but none of them with the same item.

Zorro - Super bounce ball
Shiloh - A little fuzzy ball
Felicity - Zip ties
Frankie - Bottle caps

Of course they will only fetch if it's their idea. If you throw something other than their favorite "toy" they'll look at you like you're stupid. They won't even bother to look at whatever you threw. It's like they can tell by the sound it makes hitting the ground. They will retrieve their item (and only their item if they all want to play at the same time), bring it back and drop it in your hand.

I kind of feel bad for Frankie though. One, he obsesses over bottle caps. When we were moving we found his stash of about 100 bottle caps he had squirreled away in his secret hiding place under his bed. When you open a bottle, no matter how quietly and no matter where he is in the house, he makes a mad dash for wherever the bottle is being opened. Two, since I quit drinking, his ration of bottle caps has been severely limited.

Ok nitej, why be over here if you are so against e cigs. Pick one way or the other. Fact is, when I see someone smoking, I dont even ask if they want to quite. I just ask if they've seen e cigs yet. This tool has the ability to drastically impact the health of our entire world. This is essentially a preventative cure for cancer, and it works. We have seen nothing with this impact ability in our lifetimes, and might not ever again, short of a "medical" cure for cancer. How many people die EVERY day from lung cancer, becuase they didnt have the ability to quite, and/or desire? If you dont want to embrace it, then just go away. Our concern is helping people get of ciggies, not keeping them addicted, or for that matter even chosing whether they are used to quite, or just a better way to smoke. I for one dont care either way. Just use em instead of cigs...Thats it. The rest is up to the person. We dont CARE about the nicotine, we care about the smoke. We dont believe that if you cant quite cold turkey, you should die of lung cancer for it, becuase "you" worked so hard for your "quite". You apparently believe your entitled to some throne that you are not. Like e cig users arent ALLOWED to consider themselves "quite".:nah:
You and brad seem to be 2 peas in a pod these days, just antagonizing whoever you can, ensuring that only 2% of smokers are able to quite, instead of the 80% we are able to save. Personally I think your just upset you didnt find e cigs first, same as brad.:vapor:

Well... Since he's a zombie I can see why you'd want to annihilate him. :)

Rhetorical question, I'm sure, but in 2007 it was 434.75/day. Maybe the .75 were midgets? Ok... Really short persons. :)

I don't have to tell you this, but Beth is welcome here. Her opinion may differ, but nobody shares the same opinions with everyone all the time. There's no reason to tell her to "just go away." We certainly didn't appreciate it when some members at QSMB told us to leave. I don't believe Beth has ever said, "f you cant quite (sic) cold turkey, you should die of lung cancer for it..." It's not fair to paint her with such broad brush strokes. By anyone's measure nine months of being cigarette free is a great accomplishment and she SHOULD be proud.

Good luck with that Bristish board they're small & would be an easy victory for you. Unlike the 3 wk battle for the Q board.
Pardon me for taking offense to that

Have you ever figured maybe I'm envious of you all-man it would of been sweet if my cardio dr. would of said well smoking caused this so yeah you should quit but here's an OUT for you-to me thats giving a person a choice-doing what they love instead of forced into quitting. I like you guys but just don't totally agree with your "QUIT" method but if it works & gets more accepted then why worry what I think....

Take offense to anything you want. It's still a free country. :)

Personally, I think if anyone should be offended by her statement it's XBB and the members of his forum. Generally people don't like being called "pushovers." From what I've seen over there though, they seem to have a more receptive attitude when it comes to alternative methods of quitting cigs. I don't believe there will be a battle.

I think you'll find more people here envious of you and what you have done than the other way around.
