Shannon, I confess this is something that has me just baffled.

I've not been able to follow the arguments of people who are strongly opposed to nicotine, so naturally they are strongly opposed to the use of something that contains no nicotine.

Wasn't that the plot of a Kafka novel? Or a Monty Python skit?

I had to get away from all this for a few days.. it was either that or strangle a few select people. I have no problem with that but you see, i'm running out of room to hide the bodies - Ha Ha, just kidding.. I have plenty of room...

I was over at my Moms today and she had her termite guy over. (He's a little guy with wings) ( o.k. i'll stop.. or will I Hmm) And on seeing me vape away he said, Thats an e-cig isnt it? Turns out his daughter got him one at a mall and he couldn't get used to the taste. He went back to cigs shortly after. I told him it was either full of primer or not very good juice. I gave him lots of info, wrote down the ECF web addy and encouraged him to look around and try some more juice and blow out his atty good. Hopefully he will sign up and contact me. I think if he gets good juice and a clean atty he would be o.k. I hope so. He's a really nice guy and i'd hate to see him keep smoking the nasty tobacco.

Orly, you still out there ? If so, let us here how your doing with your kit ( if it came in)

Personally, I think if anyone should be offended by her statement it's XBB and the members of his forum. Generally people don't like being called "pushovers." From what I've seen over there though, they seem to have a more receptive attitude when it comes to alternative methods of quitting cigs. I don't believe there will be a battle.

Thank You!!! You and BC have hit the nail on the head. It's not some kind of plan for you guys to take over my board..wouldn't happen..it is merely an invite to some knowledgeable ecig folks, (yourselves) to help others using the product on my board. It is not to be pushed and I think you folks are clear about that, otherwise I wouldn't have invited you.

I think the ecig is going to be approved and more people will use it as time goes on, so why not have some knowledgeable folks on the board that know what the hell they're talking about. Beth, I'm kinda surprised at what you said..we go back a long ways and you should know I would never allow anyone on my board that could do our membership any harm.

Been a bit tied up getting caught up on my board. I notice that Brad from the Q board joined up..Let me be clear that I did NOT invite him..and I can see already that he's up to the same type of horses**t that he was doing on the Q board.
I apologize guys, but just to let you know I've already given him a mild warning on his intro thread that attacking others will not be tolerated.

I've also made the mods aware of who he is and that I do not think he is there to give or receive support. He has already been warned and if he attacks again..he will be banned.

Again, sorry for that, but I'm aware and if he chooses to do the same kind of BS he was pulling on the Q board..OUT he goes.

Well you approached them diffently-when I saw the not so pushy entrance I thought wow if only John might of came in quieter & pluss that board is nothing like the Q board-people are more or less on a level board-yes theirs moderators who actually rule the roost so yeah that board is nice & easy going.

I think what I take offense to is that over here you play nice and talk nice, ask questions and even if you don't agree are generally receptive to what we say. On the Q board your comments are normally much more negative and attacking towards us. I guess I just have a problem with the two faced nature of it.

Hot enough already to make me jealous you have weather in the 50s...trade ya...90 and rising...at least thats what my monitoring station says outside in the sun...
Happily my house is in the shade but still that heat will be in here in a few more hrs...then I have to turn off the computer...too hot...No I'm not using A/C in the whole house...Just the bedroom but computer is in living room /front room which I have taken over as my computer/lab room...lol Wife will be happy when I get back room re-wired so I can move our dogs playroom/kennel room back there...and they live better than me they have A/C...lol

Me I get to cook in the heat if I want to mod...

Agreed.....I have a HUGE problem with this behavior. It doesn't make sense...would rather someone be outright nasty instead of playing both sides against each other.

srry I'm just full of those...read too much philosophy and tactical manuals...and worse...but really worry more about what people will think of you if you give in to the trolling...or two faced behavior...Win your enemies w kindness... I don't advocate turning the cheek just catch the hand about to slap you and then go on...any truly good person WILL come around an decide the rhetoric is just what it is...the rest well then you know who they are...

Fat lot of good for me...I cant deal w it so I sit here and help where I can...Unfortunately for all my knowledge I am sorely lacking in self control when being pushed...or maybe because of the knowledge I have what little control that I do...I'm unsure...

New forum is looking like a better group of people..not so judgmental. I've just lost taste for the hostility these days. I think fred can keep his board...greener pastures and all. The no muss, no fuss approach just seems so much more appealing.

Agreed...

The big difference was our arrival was "expected". XBB did a lot of legwork with one of the mods and received approval before extending an invitation to the members here.

From what I've read, most of their members aren't hung up on a person's quit method. As long as you're quitting the cigs, that's all that matters.

Another difference is they seem to have moderators that actually moderate.

Time will tell.
