I had a strong craving for an analog last night. When I ordered my T-Rex kit I was fully expecting it was going to take a while to get completely off the analogs so I bought some more tobacco. I haven't touched it though. I've thought about throwing it out (~1 lb), but thinking about wasting it makes me feel guilty. My BIL still smokes so when my MIL comes for a visit I'll see if I can give it to her to give to him (they both live in San Diego).

MMMMMMMMMMMM!!!PIZZA...

dang out of pizza juice gotta make more.....

BTW I have an aunt with that name...in Iowa too...

I *NEED* to get some of that pizza flavor that everybody is talking about. Is it TFA you have or a diff vendor?

Just mentioned your aunt to my wife, she was shocked. If you see your auntie anytime soon, tell her "Hello" from "the other Jocasta in Iowa" :)

Hard to go wrong with a T-Rex kit and an open mind. Unless you are scared of freaky blue lights anyway. :)

I *almost* picked up a T-Rex, the day I went to order it, LF had my steel Riva SE (the one I'd been waiting for) finally in stock. I woulda been happy either way.

I haven't used my T-Rex since I made a 5v box mod and ordered a Roughstack. I do credit it with getting me off the analogs though. I had my last one while I was waiting for the batteries to charge. I got the 1100mAh batteries for the T-Rex and the lights are green.

They just dont make em like they used to.... <sigh>
I don't know about that.

We've never had an AS400 go down for even one second in the 14 years I've been managing them here.
I love the AS400 and if I ever had to work on anything else, I would probably change careers instead.

ISU used to have alot of AS/400 machines here and there, running backend processes for the RS/6000 workstations when Unix was still king. They ended up selling most of them off once "newer tech" arrived, don't need the 3270 terminals in the registrars office anymore! :)

I will tell you that an old AS/400 Advanced case shell makes an AWESOME keg cooler (only a pony keg tho). :)

When I worked in retail our POS systems were run on the AS400. I wish I had the same glowing opinion of them as you. I guess my dislike of them isn't really rooted in the system itself, but what had to be done when the system crashed. In one of my stores the AS400 crashed on a sale day. I don't like having to hand write receipts by the hundreds... Not to mention all the lost sales because people got fed up with having to wait. Granted it certainly wasn't a common occurrence. In the 6 years I worked for that company I only had to replace two dead systems.

Umm..actually not. ;) "Braut" would phonetically sound like "out". Like in "sauerkraut". Bratwurst is pronounced "braht-worst" (in US. english vs.the German "braht-verst") not "brout-worst." (This is a funny discussion, lol!)

That's true, and it also means that I've been mispronouncing that cabbage like substance for years (prolly a subconscious form of protest against it).

And I thought I did really well in phonics when I was in 1st grade.... ah well.

At least we all can agree that Brats, however you say it (or spell it) are good.

or maybe just OK?
how about "acceptable"?
lesser evil?

if I could think of something witty using "harm reduction" it would be here..., maybe when I'm getting an earful from a vegan about how evil I am. :)

Tho, I've read somewhere that you don't eat pork Kristin? No hard feelings either way, isn't that a difficult proposition in upper cheeze/brat land? Especially fall weekends?

On the subject of Q, dunno how many of you still keep up there. I would *love* to make a suggestion to some of those that fell off the wagon in their quit to go a diff route, especially those that are getting worn down with life factors (hubby smokes, wants to talk to me WHILE he smokes, etc), but with the crowd it is a difficult proposition at best. Tried to offer "what worked for me" to one person, but I feel constrained in most cases.

You're either stuck between a rock and a hard place or walking on eggshells over there. Any mention of an eCig is going to look like you are "pushing" to many over on the Q board.
