I think Magnus did a good job summing it up...I did kinda snap over someones comment quoting me and calling me mean but me snapping isn't much worse than a blog-rant from some noted pacifists in our history apparently...lol

I've done that now, except I've put it in the main forum, not the e-cig forum.

On reflection, I don't see why it has to go there, neither my post nor the paper I commend contain any specific reference to e-cigs, just to "innovative medicinal nicotine substitutes for cigarettes." I honestly don't see anything wrong with that.

Apparently Fred didn't agree. Your thread has been moved.

RE: The Paper....

OK, so the mod is indeed anti e-cigarette and enjoys tea bagging the veterans of the QSMB board?

I just thought he was conflict averse but moving that thread and then tolerating the responses immediately classing it e-cig and then further allowing the dismissal of the science because of perceived, as opposed to demonstrated, biases. The paper is posted is quite well cross-references and whatever biases might be present in extra-professional activities the paper itself seems to be quite well documented and used quite a few times over by other sources. Some of which are quite anti-nicotine in any capacity whatsoever that are just more intellectually honest than what seems to be acceptable at the QSMB.

Alright, since it appears I'm unlike to get approved anyway...

They've got a viable tool to stop smoking and reduce or cease nicotine use and they scoff at it because it's not their way. The "not invented here" syndrome is the fall of companies, societies, and movements. I should've stuck with my advice to the rest of the ECFers earlier in this thread. The Market will eliminate the relevance of the QSMB board.... if they don't start opening their minds and changing. -Magnus

...Upsides include...

...I don't know if you all can read my post there but thank you - thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me an option to give my mom...

And that is what makes me feel proud to know you all! (approximately7000 words of cheesygush deleted as a courtesy, because the pills are kicking in)

lolady - my condolences on the loss of your beloved almost mauve hookah-doodle.

Thank you, MustangSallie. It's puffing happier clouds now, snapcrackling down on us from the Rainbow Power Strip!

Darn I would like my 7000 words of cheesygush because I bet you could make pop come outta my nose!!! You should be proud. My mother has one foot in the grave. Quitting is not something she will give a thought to because she doesn't feel she can. (lolady - she would like those 7000 words too and I would totally cut and paste them for her entertainment!!!).

Sorry I might have derailed that post. :( I just don't understand.

WTF for?!?!!!!!! You didn't say anything offensive or do anything wrong.

??!!??!!

-Magnus

You got me! I've no idea why.

I've actually gone out of my way to be pleasant on there. I even posted on one of the pledge threads today. I congratulate people on their "quits" and I mean it too.
(Even though I consider quit a verb, not a noun.)

I'm almost tempted to try an appeal. I had a lot left to say.

Never mind, the mailman just bought my Provari today and I'm having fun playing with varying the voltages on G4 clearo's, 3.8v seems pretty good so far. :)
(The one I'm using currently is pretty well used and reads at 4 ohms.)

Cheers

Hookah doodle?.....whats that?...is it broken if so... could I possibly fix it for you...

It's government name is "KR808d-1 manual pass through" and the importer is the "vapor4life" company.

You are so sweet to offer to do that! Do you think you could tell me how to fix it?

To save resources, here is a link to the post of some complication explanations, from the Mourning Thread.

What a wonderful compliment! Thank You! I just meant that it makes me feel proud and happy to be in a place where people do things like help your mom.

Send her to my blog, it is especially for Aged and Infirm people. Or most of it is. Lately, there have been Tangents about anti-e-cigaretteism, the latest one is very impolite to the Quitistas, though.

We're all pulling for you Randy
+ a gazillion!

I was thinking about you the other day, speculating that you might be very good at that thing where you pick an org that suits you, while you don't have a job, and go volunteer there, and sneakily become so indispensable that they are obliged to start paying you.

*sigh*

If the QMSB is determined to let more people suffer and let more people die... then they're certainly trying really hard to reach their goals. Blood will be on Fred's hands among his veterans.

The very idea they won't even allow discussion by a person ~affiliated~ w/ the e-cigarette solution is basically the bulletin board equivalent of genocide. They might as well start making people wear armbands and carry ID cards with their latest no-nicotine blood test scores.

*shrug* Well Sallie, I tried........ -Magnus

Millions will die. Literally millions. Not all due to Fred's policies, obviously, but he's another brick in the wall.
All avoidable. What a shame tragedy.
