I would dance a freaking jig if I ever get banned.
That place is making me anxious and upset and costing me a bit of sleep here and there.
But when I made the conscious decision to get involved, I took on that decision and all of it's consequences.
And now that their board has been so disrupted, I will stay as long as I can to try and help make what happened a good thing.
People can think that's crazy, or people can think that's great, it doesn't matter to me.
All that matters to me is that I do what I think is right.
I don't think that's crazy at all, DC. In spite of all the bad, at least a few people have been helped, and we've made a few new friends as well. I wish I could be in the trenches over there with you guys, but I'll definitely be here for moral support.

Last I heard he was so thrilled with electronic cigarettes he was going to start a blog.
Said he wanted to help his spanish brothers around the world quit smoking.

Seriously, some of the posts by katiem make me so angry my hands are actually shaking as I type up a response.

It's great, absolutely fantastic that some of you are over there trying and refusing to give up. Knowing I couldn't make the same commitment is a part of the reason I never even tried to post over there.
The rest being my lack of self control which would see me banned, add to that I still smoke analogs, and while PVs may get me to quit that one day, I'll never be the guy telling people how evil tobacco, much less nicotine is, and I really won't fit in there. I was sure when I first came here that I'd just look up some info and go away. Figured if I admitted I didn't buy a PV to quit smoking I'd get demonized. Then I started reading, and this is hands down the most accepting forum I've ever seen online, and I've been on BBS systems, and the internet since the 80s in one form or the other. The owners, admins, and mods around here are phenomenal, but the people the make up the community, well I've got a pretty solid vocabulary, but I'm not sure I can come up with a term that is grandiose enough to describe the people here.

Agreed, it's really a different animal. As is proven by number of posts I've made here. I've joined other forums in the past only to get fed up with the "politics" after a handful of posts, and the propensity for people to get all pissy if you dare to ask a question that has already been asked before.
If there is a better, more friendly, more accepting forum anywhere on the internet I sure haven't seen it.
And yes, the moderators here are just as phenomenal as the people.

Considering the topics there, even the outside is friendly, especially once you take into account the topics that get tossed around in there. I'd just have to keep in mind to attack the post not the poster, which is easy for me as long as others stick to it. It's not responding in kind to personal attacks where I start to have trouble, hence no QSMB for me.

I haven't heard from Orly since we last talked and then he was wanting to start a blog in spanish
and sell e cigs to help others.
I told him I disagreed with his wanting to sell products since he really didn't even know about his own device and I said he should wait on the selling aspect until he became better acquainted with the devices on the whole because alone he could not answer any questions a user may have on the operation or which device works and why others didn't.
I didn't want to discourage him from ultimately selling if this is his wish, I simply said that now was not a good time since he had only been using the product for a few days.
I suggested he watch the Dr. Vapor videos and told him that DC2 could be of more help than I could and since I wasn't feeling well then I said I would write back when I was and when I had a stable internet connection.
That was a couple of weeks ago and he did say he doesn't like posting at the other place because of the attitudes towards e cigs there so he prefers email for talking. He also knew they read here and comment over there which was a turn off to many not only a new vaper like Orly.
I think we should reach out to him as soon as possible to check on his progress.

I just finished my 2nd variable voltage power supply for a pass-thru. My soldering has definitely improved.
Doesn't look good, but works well. Haven't decided if I'm going to mount the voltage display yet. I don't think I will. I left the hookup in place and since I don't mess with voltage much I don't think there's any real reason to bother cutting a hole for it. That always seems to be my downfall anyway.

I managed to walk down almost to the highway in a t-shirt once at 2:00am.
I was lucky my dogs followed me and were there to try to wake me up so I could get out of the road.
I loved my two Dals, "Monster" & "Irene" I believe they saved my life quite a few times.

Ever watched/listened to Mike Birbiglia? He's a comedian with the same problem and made an entire show called "Sleepwalk With Me" regarding his nighttime adventures. He is hilarious!

I am sorry this happened to you CB and I hope you are feeling better real soon.
Maybe this will make you feel better.
I have also had bouts of sleepwalking but never hurt myself physically. Mentally is another story.
After a night of a little too many adult beverages I woke up and found myself in the corner of my bedroom whizzing like a racehorse.What a stinking mess! I had to scrub and repaint the wall and of course it didnt match so I had to repaint the entire room. No way was I going to trust a carpet cleaner so I had to replace the carpet too.
Thanks to a real smart wife there was some sort of plastic sheet on the mattress so at least I didnt have to replace that.
There was even talk of handcuffs.I now end partaking of the alcoholdemon at 7PM.
Now this story truly made my weekend!
