I wouldn't say he's doing well. He's barely gotten out of the gate. ...the 24mg is making him cough. I also ordered VR Cherrywood. So the search and saga continues. Maybe once his current carton is gone.

When I first got here, I thought it was so quaint and enchanting the way people were so evangelical about their favorite devices.

Well, I'm laughing too hard to type right now, because I just caught my fingers typing to MustangSallie that she should get her husband a KR808d-1 because it's only 2 things to hook together instead of 3, it's cigarette-like, you could sit him at the computer with his electric hookah-doodle...

I think you're on the right track of getting him to like something better. Even then he will keep smoking tobacco ones while staring at it.

I think you know his current carton going won't be relevant to the process one way or another :)

Send off for some of those sampler juice packs for him. I would never have believed the number of flavors it takes to find the right one.

I don't think I went through that many men before finding Mr lolady!

Ah, the hotbed of hypochondria!

You're missing out on some quite good stuff if you don't poke around in there once in a while...

:)

I think there's two things going on here. First, people are quitting smoking which has its own slew of "side effects". Second, they're taking up another activity which hasn't been proven 100% safe. When multiple things change in a person's life and the results aren't always positive they look at anything they have done that could have caused it. Humans are constantly looking for "cause and effect" relationships. It helps us to make sense of our world.

The problem I have with that particular section... There is one group who is all too eager to blame vaping for all its ills. The other swings to the opposite extreme and blames everything on the cigarettes. Stubbing one's toe isn't a result of vaping or smoking, but it seems someone is always waiting in the wings ready to place the blame on either activity.

I can't address that Health subforum post because I never go in there.

I figure if anything important comes to light it will make it to the main forum so no need to spend time in there.
That is a dark and scary place!!

I went in and looked around then backed out slowly trying to make sure I didn't step on anything on the way out.....:sneaky:

crunch uh oh did I step on a branch...RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

I am having an incredibly crappy night and I am not sure what else to do right now so hi. I REALLY need a laugh so have at her.

It is lovely to see you all.

Q. Why does a seagull fly over the sea?

A. Because if it flew over the bay it would be called a bagel!

That's all I got...

Hope you feel better and someone more witty than I comes along... lolady, I'm looking at you!

Yes, I agree with that. Wholeheartedly. I do it myself, I think we all do.
I've been lucky, the only ill effects I've had are the ones which are pretty well documented and understood.
They've been far outweighed by the positives.

However, if I had suddenly noticed that (say) my fingernails were falling out I'm sure I'd be suspecting the e-cigs.

The first rule of debugging: What has changed? (Anybody studied Kepner-Tregoe problem analysis?)

Cheers

Thanks Nate :) That made me smile. My other friend has also just sent me a ton of pictures from Faceinhole where he has used my face in some rather uh hmmm funny and risky photos. Some of them are scary - as I put down the brownie and back away from the fridge.

 Well said! I think another thing is that a lot of the most alarmed ones are young, healthy people who are just plain not used to much of anything going on in their bodies unless they have the flu or something.

I'm the last person to minimize the annoyance of all the little hissy fits one's system can have even if all you've done is reduce the tobacco ones a little bit and added flavored water vapor.

Some of these people have made a really quick complete changeover - which is wonderful, and who wouldn't want that? BUT you can't tell me that even the most hale and hearty organism is not going to have something to say about that, usually in the area of digestive unpleasantness, a host of most inauspicious mouth and lip issues, and what I forgot to remind MustangSallie in the last post - even 11 nicotine might make him cough, because what's making him cough the most isn't the nicotine, but the vapor itself, just because those tissues aren't used to it!

I imagine that the coughing would be especially disturbing to people who were thinking of coughing as something that upgrading to e-cigarettes would STOP, and now here it is two or three weeks since they've had any tobacco at all, yet they're coughing worse than they ever did when they smoked 2 packs a day!

Mine is only beginning to subside, and even so, just a little bit, as if it doesn't want to.

Now of course the aged and infirm can expect all those things to be more intense and go on longer, but if you poke around reading, and not just in the health section, it's clear that even teens don't get a free pass!
