No, if she ~was~ a bad girl, the thread wouldn't have taken that turn. I had to move on to people w/ lower standards. Like, err, you and Dog. ;-) -Magnus

True dat I'm loyal to the hubby... there are moments I wonder if he's worth it but then he'll go and do something that reminds me he is.

I use cartomizers almost exclusively. Except for dripping to test flavors and/or juice attempts.

This month when I went to place my order for dual-coils from Pure Smoker I noticed they had an option for clear ones. I decided yesterday to try one out. So far I am really liking the clear ones. So easy to tell when it's getting dry. I can already tell, just by seeing how the filling absorbs, that I haven't been filling my cartos nearly enough. So I am getting much better performance.

This is probably old news for most of you.

I only ordered a few as I had never tried them. If this one continues to perform so well they will be the bulk of my order next month. Just wanted to pass this along.

Carry on :)

Glad you like them. Anything that suppliers can do to make vaping easier for the uninitiated is a good thing. I thought about purchasing some myself, but resisted. I haven't found a carto that contains batting that doesn't alter the flavor. I had high hopes for the Sapphires, but Sallie's review tempered my enthusiasm.

Me too. I guarantee I will be using a tank if I can ever find one I can get some flavor out of.

Also I have been dripping quite a bit lately since I ordered so many flavorings and beginning to really enjoy it. You just can't beat the flavor.

If it just wasn't so durn messy and sticky.

:)

And glad to see that thread closed. I didn't expect THAT poster would get very far around HERE.

Oh please, don't go by me. Hopefully you and Randy will have a higher opinion. My husband and I just had a conversation about this. My nose doesn't work, hasn't for a long time, even when I wasn't smoking for over 5 years. So, if it's true that part of tasting flavors has to do with your sense of smell, then I'll never fully be able to taste the flavors. Unless things somehow get better once my husband stops smoking.

I should get mine tomorrow. I just put in an order for the VV Ego passthru as well. Someone posted great pics of a disassembled Sapphire, and the innards are very impressive. Unless they just don't work for me for some reason, I think I'm going to be very pleased.

Don't worry... I'm definitely going to try them. I have 4 (slowly) making their way from NY.

I don't think it's just you though. Many people have noted that "tanks" tend to mute flavors. You said you tried the same flavor in a carto along with the sapphire and the carto's flavor was superior.

I'm looking for a carto that works and tastes just as good as dripping. That mythical carto has proven as difficult to find as Shangri-La.

Oh, MustangSallie! If you want to have 5 electricity globules, KR808d-1 hookah-doodles plugged into the wall have that. If you don't have one, they are just $10 at litecigusa but you will have to color them with nail polish yourself, because they don't have many colors. And you will need a Special Wall Rodent. Wal-Mart ones will do as long as they have 5 and 2 on them, I get confused about that part, but it is explained in a lot of places by people who are really clear on things like electricity and what year it is.

The new KR808d-1 ones have less, that is their claim to fame. There's a whole thread about it on the Kr808d-1 section, I asked because I was confused. It turns out that lots of people like fewer lumps of electricity in theirs.

My wife likes 808 autos for their ease of use and ability to chomp in mouth and work hands-free. I too find them handy when working in the shop.

Do you have any prefs yourself for brand of cartos? Litecig has a fairly generic (though complete) selection of 808 hardware. Also do you use the "standard" size sticks? or the XL that are slightly longer? Any opinion on the button (yea/nay)?

I pose the same questions to anybody that has an 808 pref (think Randy is in this boat too)? My starter kit batts are finally starting to wane, and I'd like to get her something that she likes. :)

Another quick ???, besides V4L, are there other good vendors that offer "sampler packs" of blank cartos in different colors? Not just a 5-pack all green, but 5 diff colors? Most of the vendors I check are fairly obscure, didn't want to take a chance (never a good thing when the better half is concerned) without asking first. :2cool:
