actually my headache was gone yesterday for the most part(thanks for asking) but I got worried when I ran into the odd message when I tried to PM CB...she is obviously not physically having any problems as she is posting on QSMB...

I hope she was not Banned...she has a kind heart but sometimes she lets her temper get the best of her(she doesn't take guff from anyone)...not that I blame her...if Fred really didn't want us there he should have made that clear instead of sicking the dogs on everyone who went there...

of course I considered it a lost cause after beth made herself clear IMHO...the 2 face thing was not amusing...I am saddened by members of our group falling for the bait and giving in to the urge to strike back but people are people...I hope we can get past this and go on to better more open places...there are boards that want help in this area....why waste time and energy (let alone besmirching ECFs image)on a board full of closed minded people...not worth it IMHO...

..... Oh and Phonedude..this came by way of Wichita :)

I agree blue, that pretty well sums up our summer. Worst one in my memory. It didn't used to get this hot until August and then for only a few days at a time.

If we would have had summers like this back in the 30's I think Dorothy and Toto would have just stayed in Oz.

:)

I read a bit of the "Orange Papers" that one of the disgruntled QSMB members posted about. Very interesting reading, and fits some of the Q folks to a tee.

I'm glad now that I was never allowed to post there; I would likely be drawn to defend e-cigs at every turn, and frankly I wouldn't want to be in the position of jeopardizing my membership here. Wanting to have a presense there for the possibility of reaching a few people that might not be able to quit any other way is a noble goal, but due to the hostility, it might be doing more harm than good.

The UK No Smoking Forum has been quite the opposite. The owner herself asked for info on vendors, and has made it clear that she and the other mods accept e-cigs as a viable option for quitting smoking.

I've been playing around with my last Sapphire that I had not filled. Pulled the entire thing apart, cleaned the tube, removed the wick and the metal piece over the atty. I had serious doubts that the tube part was imparting the perfume taste, so I dripped directly onto the atty and took a couple puffs. What do you know... perfume. I'm going to give the atty a good cleaning/soaking and report back.

I'm having serious doubts about my ability to figure these things out. The fourth sapphire my husband has been using this morning was a little sticky. I unscrewed it, and the bottom metal plug on the atty (the part that goes into the center plastic tube at the thread end) was stuck to the battery contact. I cleaned everything up, stuck the plug back in, filled it up and it all seems to be okay now, but I'm worried about it. This one was only put in use last night around 10:00 pm and I checked it at 10:00 am this morning. What could I possibly be doing wrong? Number three in use still seems to be fine, hubby just wanted to use a different flavor.

No idea why it would have been sticky, unless a bit of juice leaked out.

I think the little fill nipples for bottles they provide need to be a bit longer. It's a bit too easy to "pressurize" the tank as you're filling, which can force liquid down thru the battery fitting and up into the airway. I'm using a longer blunt needle and having had any further trouble with leaking.

My experience has been far from positive as well, but maybe the fill plug isn't fully seated? I have a couple that are filled, but haven't really been used since Friday and they have yet to leak.

I checked the plug at the top first. It was fully seated. I'm not sure what's going on, but I have decided whatever it is, it's more than I want to have to deal with. My failure rate with regular cartos has been zero since I figured out when to tell they're running dry. All previous attempts with atty's and dripping were total failures. I'll give the CE2 r5 a try, and the clear dual coil cartos, if they fail, I'm sticking with steel cartos with polyfill until the next great thing comes out.

I get my VV Ego PT tomorrow afternoon. Looking forward to trying my Sapphires on it at 3.7 and 4.2.

Nate, are you getting the perfumy taste on all your liquids or particular ones?

Both liquids I tried. The liquids taste fine in every other atty or carto I've tried.

MadMac, I'm missing CB a bit but her profile doesn't show anything indicating she was put in the Sin Bin or 'Moved On'...

I'm hoping she is just having too good of a time to check in. Give it a bit more time then we'll send the search parties. -Magnus

I saw C.B. post a few times this morning over there. I emailed her Roly's warning just in case she didn't see it.

I just checked the drippy one I saved. When I pulled out the metal plug on the bottom that I've been blathering about I realized it's supposed to have a wire attached to it. The one that fell apart this morning has no such wire. It's still working, how can that be?

You pulled out just the center post from the outer threaded part?
