Wheres the dislike button when ya need it...

Up until all those Illinoians moved to Iowa it was just fine...when I moved to Texas I was 2 classes ahead in high school....

Of course I was one class ahead in Iowa...counting the AP classes...but still I knew farm raised kids with more intelligence in Iowa than here...nothing wrong with Iowa schools or general intelligence level when I left...and Iowa colleges a GPA was considered 1-2 points higher than colleges in other states...(at least they were before I left)

If they aren't now I blame the mass exodus from Illinois...Yup I said it...its Illinois and their Chicago way fault...

Methinks she is from Minnesota, which explains the Wisconsin, Iowa, and Old Dutch comments.

When I was growing up it was always a fight for #1 between Iowa and either WI or MN on the education front. Now Iowa has slipped back a notch or two, dunno who is top dog these days.

I thought you knew Magnus, but I got a pv with 0 nic just to give myself a little education about these things in order to help others on NSF who may have decided to quit using a pv....and also to help a buddy out.

I'm over 2 and 1/2 years smokefree and I'm comfortable enough in my quit to give it a try, but mostly I wanted to know more about them as we've been getting a few newbies coming in using them and asking questions and none of us knew squat about them.

So, I was vaping for a couple of weeks, helping my buddy out and I posted on my site exactly what I was doing...No Smoking Forum • View topic - Electronic Cigs.
Since then I have received some pm's from folks asking for assistance. If I didn't posssess the right info I would come here and ask, or direct them here, which I've also done for further info. Some of you are already over on my site helping out and it's much appreciated.

It was a great experience trying one out, but, for me the novelty's worn off and I really don't need to do this. I have another buddy who like this one has also tried everything to quit and not succeeded, so if I feel he's ready I may just very well give my pv to him.

NSF has been totally receptive to the use of e-cigs to quit smoking. Even those with less than positive responses have been polite and civil. The atmosphere is totally different than that at QSMB.

And the moderators actually moderate... go figure

Did you ever get anywhere with trying to come up with a way to locate posts about electronic cigarettes?
If there was a good way to do that I would be happy to stop by there now and then to see if anyone is needing help.

There's not a way to locate them quickly, but I believe Randy was working on a post with info for suppliers in the U.K. I'm not sure how he's doing with it, you'll have to ask him, but I think we should make it a "sticky"

I believe at one point he was talking to Boudee, (the owner) but I'm not sure how far that went.
PMing Boudee and asking her would be your best bet, as she is open to the idea of using e-cigs as a quit method.

Don't know if you want to do something similar as Fred did at the Q making a subforum, but again that would have to be approved by Boudee.
One thing for sure...you won't be spending all your time arguing and bickering.
Although, just like anywhere else, we have a couple of members that may not be all that keen on e-cigs, personal attacks like you've gone through over at the Q just won't happen.

Great Randy..I kinda lost track of where they were. Seeing as Boudee already knows you I suggest you PM her and at the very least request those posts be made a "sticky" otherwise they're going to get lost.

Actually I wouldn't mind seeing them in the "Help, Incentives and tips to stop smoking" room You may want to request a little subforum in that particular section too. That way good info posts you guys have can go in there and not get lost.
