I remember distinctly when I finally learned I was not immortal any longer.
It was six years ago, skiing in Snowbird, when I was 39 years old.
I hit a patch of grooved ice at about 30mph in the fog, caught an edge big time, and went head over heel over head over heel.
I seperated my shoulder at the end of all the tumbling, and had to be taken down in a sled.
From that day forward I was much older, and my injuries no longer heal the way they used to.
And now I'm afraid to bungee jump, hang glide, and skydive, which were all on my list of things to do.

It fits fine, I thought maybe changing it was an annual event, timed to coincide with the end of the fiscal year or something.
