So you're saying that these groups aren't really opposed to e-cigs (in general) but to the loss of revenue they represent? In the case of government it's tax revenue, and in the case of "health" organizations (and the companies that subsidize them) product revenue... Got it.

I think that accounts for a lot of the opposition right now, yes. I think it's probably a majority but I'm not sure if it's the overwhelming reason overall. For Government officials I believe it is, for Medical professionals I think it's somewhere around 50/50 with ingrained practice/funding and fear of the unknown. -Magnus

At first I thought she was referencing the infamous libelous site, but re-read and realized she was talking about TDL -- the "anything goes" forum.

Someone should tell Tim it's stupid to host that on the same domain as his company site...

I doubt many of them are aware of that "kiddo" er young man!

Bonjour - long time! At least it feels like it. I wanted to drop in and say hello. My family and I are leaving on vacation tomorrow and I have technically been on vacation since last Thursday but for some reason my vacations always start with an overhaul cleaning of the house.

Just an update - my mom is using an e-cig. However, she is still smoking. Not as much. Like she said, she would go through 4 cartons each month and it is the 15th and she hasn't even gone through 1 yet. I am impressed that she has dropped that much. I am hoping that eventually she drops the cigarettes altogether. She thinks they are funny and a little embarassing - so I actually think the cigarettes she is smoking are the ones outside of the house.

Life is good. I am still cigarette free - coming up nine months now. Hope you don't mind me dropping in every once in a while. I deleted myself from the other place so can't interract with you there and I did notice that a lot of you have left as well. (yeah I caved and went and looked - bad mistake).

Tried to make a snus order tonight. Northerner didn't like my CC and SnusCentral refused to believe I was older than 18. If you ever want to feel like an idiot, try setting up an account as SnusCentral.

Northerner's website didn't like my CC, but GetSnus did... I'm aware they are the same company.

Aggravating...

I started using snus after my last "break down." I couldn't stand how I was feeling, but didn't want to go back to smoking cigs. Went with Camel first just to see if it was something I could do. It's not something I use on a regular basis. Maybe a piece or two a day. Sometimes none... Overall mood has definitely improved. If the Swedish stuff is really that much better than what I've been using, great. If not, Camel snus is cheap and readily available.

Forced out would be more accurate.

m is cool. He has had a lot of issues with the hardcores as well. It isn't just you guys that they pick on. He is WTBF and is a really wonderful guy. He's one of them I am friends with in my real life.
Yes, he did seem like a pretty good guy.

Hope you have a great vacation.
Wish I was going on one!!

Just wanted to say it was interesting-I did consider using an e cig before I gave up my quit but figured I've been free why start the addiction again whther nic free or what. But theirs some people here who just like to pick (not here) but on another site & I'm tired of it. A good share of you are pretty nice but its always a few how don't know when to let go or how to be decent. So enjoy & hopefully the ones who drive people off your site will grow up. I might return someday if I decide to vap but otherwise theirs no sense in posting here anymore-it gets old reading the Q board bashing by some & oh how unfair the Q board is but thats life always a handful NOT HAPPY. To those who I did enjoy reading-it was nice.

Thought I'd pop in to say hi to everybody. I was traveling out of state all weekend. Had to take my son back to college. :( He's happy to be back in his element, so that makes me happy, even though I miss him terribly.

Hope all of you are well. I always read this thread, even when I don't post.
