Hi Katya, thanks for your kind words.

vaping.com is going to be our sister site. We aren't 100% finalised how it's going to work, but there's a huge amount of content that we should be ensuring is accessible to those who don't like forums.

The problem with forums is that good info gets buried - we need a way to pull it out. I also want to use the domain to focus minds on some of the regulatory challenges ahead.

Loads of plans for it, but the first step is to get it built. That's being worked on right now.

SJ, I second what Katya say above. In watching to the Lynn Dawkin's video in a link here, I was happy to see someone pointing out that getting enough nicotine to please, was done on 2nd generation, etc. PV's. My mind went to ECF and how many, who have tried cigalikes and wanted to quit, have came her looking for clues, tips and help in general. And they get it here.

You might not be able to say it or promote it, but I can :) - ECF and members have helped people quit or reduce smoking and as Katya states, have saved lives. Actually those are by-products of the information given out by all members from their knowledge and experience and a place from which to do that.

A go-to site for authoritative studies and exposes that are suitable for the media and/or legislators AND is kept up-to-date would be a huge boon. I hope that's one of the sub-pages you plan! We have a lot of info buried in ECF as you said. Will there be a submission panel so we-all can help identify the "good ones" to put up?

I understand why ECF's policy is what it is, and I agree with it. My objection is to the situation that makes ECF's policy necessary. I think we should all keep in mind how preposterous that situation is. More importantly, we should all remind ourselves, often, of the dangerously arrogant public-health ideology responsible for our preposterous situation.

It's amazing how quickly the status quo, no matter how absurd, begins to feel normal.
I wonder how many of the people reading this will understand the absolute truth in what you've stated.
But sadly, even if most of us get it (or are starting to get it) the general public is still about as clueless as can be.

If I had never started vaping, I would be just as stupid and ignorant to the truth as the general public.
And that's after living for nearly 50 years on this planet.

It saves lives.

This forum saved mine, my other half has now quit, as has her mother - my sister, and at least 10 work colleagues, all from me regurgitating facts from here, advice from here, and generally "knowing my stuff" (I'm a noob, but experienced compared to them!)

Vaping.com sounds interesting too.

Strong in numbers, we are. :)

Those who don't smoke or vape should be really concerned about what they are doing. Anything that is addicting and sells well (sugar, coffee, soda) can be exploited for high tax revenue. I think New York tried it with soda already in the form of "health concerns". Unfortunately, the general public is oblivious to common sense and rather show how superior they are.

They tried to attach a $.05 on soda in Philly awhile back and it was like you were going to bankrupt someone. I wondered how they'd feel if the taxes were anything like those imposed on cigarettes.
