It all depends on the style of smoking you do, the level of nicotine that will work for you.

Many start with small kits like the AIO and similar devices...

Some prefer going big right away with removable batteries and tanks, so that they can grow if needed... o rjust have something more powerful as a "just in case". The advantage in going for such a device, is that a decent mod like this could be fine for a very long while and you can try different tanks until you find the one for you. Also, with a removable battery, should it die on you (the battery), you pop a new one in and the mod is good to keep going. And also, a "full mod" will have various options such as temp. control and other stuff

The sealed mods/battery type, once the battery is dead, the whole mod is a paperweight. But the advantage with those, is that they tend to be smaller and more discreet and portable and quite fine for many. Plus can be much cheaper. (as some end up losing them, or dropping and breaking them, and it's not a big loss)

Hi Eva and welcome!
It depends on what kind of person you are. I am quite a DIY fanatic and generally have a "learn from your mistakes" approach to nearly everything. So I skipped the cig-alike part and bought a pico squeeze. Its a bottom feeder (BF, has a little squeezable bottle-tank built in the battery-mod) and a Coilmaster buildkit. Wax on Wax of and slowly learnt how to build a good coil and to wick (putting the cotton through the coil) it right. Then i bought the kanger Topbox mini just to see what the diffenrences were between a tank with prebuilt coils and the pico squeeze. There i saw i could vape with Temperature Control, which means i can use different type of wires-materials and just set the temperature i want to vape with and the boxmod will take care of keeping it at that temperature throughout the vape. Then i bought a Wismec 2/3 because it gave me the possibility to vape for a longer time because you can use it with 2 or 3 batteries. After that i bought other tanks, and building systems and had a lot of "fun" watching all the liquid leak because i wicked it wrong:lol:. I tried different kinds of cottons and liquids until i got it right. Then I tried RDTA's( Rebuildable dripper tank atomizers). I fun with blowing biiig clouds but i felt unconfortable vaping them outside because i didnt wanted to be unrespectful towards other non vapers (when i smoked analogic cigs i didnt really care that much but i notice now how stupid i was). Then i felt i was missing something and found about MTL (mouth to lung) vaping. So i bought a Siren 25 from Digiflavor. Just love it! Easy to build, good flavor, tight draw. I can now vape the way I like, with the wires i want and dont miss not a single puff of those stinky cigarettes.
And all this in less then 2 months!!!
Maybe I've been way too extensive but what i'm trying to say is that in vaping there isn't a wright or wrong way to vape, system or style. It all comes to your personal preference. All i can advice you with is to try things out for yourself untill you find what works best for you. Everything that keeps u away from cigarettes will do!
Hope i've been helpful to you and others!

Vape on!
