LOL! I love that they went to the bar and it was dead empty. The bartender said nobody was complaining. Wonder why?
It wouldn't surprise me if they prompted the bartender to ask about it. My experience with these kind of things is that unless theyre doing a hidden camera, they'll discuss what's going on with those that will be on camera and will tell them what sort of stuff to say and do. Ie: they might say, "we're going to do some filming for a story on the electric cigarette and if you would, ask her what she's using."

I got a response from my e-mail

Dear Marcus,
I am writing to thank you for taking the time to express your concerns and share your success story with me.
I will be doing a follow up piece tonight on the electronic cigarette to share positive feedback regarding the e-cig with our viewers.
I will also have a link to www.e-cigarette-forum.com on our website, WENY-TV News - Home Page, so our viewers may read more testimonials.

Again, thank you for your time and concern.

AND it clearly pays to give feedback staying friendly and informative! Good job, those that wrote! :)

I second that. Keeping those outside the ecig community informed about eCigs and vapers world wide can be tough. I find you get the best results by presenting the facts and our experiences in a positive way. It seems like the only way to successfully gain ground for our cause. ;)

Amen and amen. The ugliness expressed here will win no one to our cause. Venting serves only the venter -- and hurts us all in the process of stomping the press, a reporter, the FDA or your government. Self-censor, folks, in the name of winning converts, not creating opposition.

True. Smoking an analog is what isn't cool, so it's the other way around.

We just need more people to understand this. It will come with time, and hard work, thanks in large part to this forum.

Pardon me but "cool" is an intrinsic concept. When one feels cool, they are. Anyone who worries about their level of coolness to others isn't cool at all, they are wannabes. Just my humble opinion...analogue or e-cig, it's whatever floats your boat.

The media appears to be pro-cessation and have been for some time. As a smoker of analogues and a proponant for e-cigs the concept of status will not gain any points with groups that have been fighting the loss of freedom for years. We smokers, also read these sites and it will be interesting to ascertain if the e-cig group is with us, or against us. If you want to be the top of the heap of nicotine users a little diplomacy would help. I fought the e-cig fight prior to purchasing one based on freedom issues. I continue that fight despite elitists.

Next task...CNN!

Easily done. I have a side business (customcarputers.com) and contacted FOX news in DC. They had me on the air in 2 weeks.
These news people are seriously hungry for ANY stories. When I left the day of the taping they told me to be sure to contact them if I had another product.
In this case I don't live near DC anymore (or any other big city) but I'm sure many here do.
Just contact your local news people, they'll have you on the air in no time!
This would be a great way to advocate "our" e-cigs!!!!

Wow, what a turn of events for this thread. Way to go ECF members! And a special thank you to WENY for hearing the voices of our good people here.

You guys are right, we need more of this. From now on whenever I see any media coverage that leaves a negative mark on our beloved ecigs I'm writing in. All it takes is a few extra minutes of our time. The benefits of our positive viewpoints far outweigh the small effort put forth.
