"E cigarettes".......but they are not

I just have a short rant here, just to get it off my chest.
I can see calling cigalikes "E cigarettes", but not any of the devices that vapors use.
Are they called patch cigarettes? (Nic. Patches) Is it called gum cigarettes? (Nic. Gum) NO!
What most of us use are a nicotine delivery device, or NDD. I think it would help our cause if the word cigarette was NOT in the name or discription of what we use.
Am I off my rocker here or what?

I have thought that to. Vaping is no more closer to smoking than Nic gum is to chewing cigarettes.

It was explained to me that the ecig moniker is to help the smokers understand its usefulness as an alternative. I am being brief, but I can understand that.

As far as the FDA goes, I would like to distance myself from the word cigarette. That is another canof worms.

but for the reason you mentioned... we are stuck. I had a rant about this before and basically was very kindly told, but not in these words "get over it, they are called what they are called and you have to live with it."

an e-pipe looks like an electronic pipe
and e-cigar looks like an electronic cigar.

a PV, to me looks like a Personal Vaporizer... apparently it looks rather naughty to other people , but there ya have it..

An RC model is still a "plane" that can "fly". And then there are jumbo jets. Can one argue that technically they aren't the same? Well, yeah, they're different sizes, but essentially they're the same exact thing.

So, why can't this be an e0cigarette? Yes that really is an e-cig.

Now as a cop, I would MOST DEFINITELY pull you over if I saw you using that. Even as a vaper who's used a tube mod in his car in traffic, that thing looks sketchy as hell.

Any vaper who attempts to use that mod in a car and gets pulled over has zero percent right to complain at all.

I'll own this one. I've thrown the PENIS term around at times. I ripped it from another member a couple years ago. I like to be edgy at times. I've told people it's a PENIS in public (bars), before, when asked about my homemade VW bottomfeeder. It's an attention-getter for sure! You should see the looks. Go ahead and try it sometime. Priceless.

I prefer the term e-nic.
Most people on here call a cigarette an analog. That's just as bad- to me, as using the term electronic cigarette.

That's a term you will never find me using. I just don't like it. That, and stinkies. Analog reminds me of synthesizers and stinkies reminds me of farts.

Just like I will never use/have never used "my bad" in lieu of "sorry" or "my fault".

I also call mines a PV but to those out there who are totally clueless the only thing they understand is ecig. Even after saying personal vaporizer I have to explain why I don't like calling it a ecig. Smh! Those who know me now understand what it is & why I call it my PV. Don't even get me started on the discussion it would start when I'd say 'I'm going to go vape' uggggh! Nothing's burning people! It's not a cigarette!

I've introduced the term vape to the people at work that see me, well vape. They use the term and I feel warm and fuzzy.

I try not to refer to my APV as an e-cig, but when I only have a few seconds to explain what it is, I sometime do throw that term out there.
