E-cigarettes are featured on cover of the May/June issue of tobacco Outlet Business (and the five page feature article begins on page 34) at:
Tobacco Outlet Business Current Magazine Issue - Page 1

Renee Covino, the author of the article, has also interviewed me for a follow-up article.

tobacco Outlet Business is about and for tobacco specialty retailers and distributors, which are very promising retail/distribution outlets for e-cigarettes (and e-liquid), as these folks sell lots of different and hard-to-find tobacco products and brands, and because many of these stores allow customers to experiment with various products before purchasing them. Another positive is that these stores don't allow minors to enter the premises.

Cool: They quoted from a CASAA press release:

In New York, the Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association (CASAA) urged lawmakers to reject the state bill with similar arguments. CASAA’s medical director, Theresa Whitt, said that “nicotine vaporizers don’t emit any smoke, which is what causes 99 percent of tobacco-related disease and deaths. There is no evidence that anyone has ever been harmed by these smoke-free alternatives, and they are clearly far less hazardous than smoking cigarettes.”

Just finally had time to read the article. What's weird is that they seemed to link CASAA specifically to New York, like we weren't involved as "Illinois proponents." I'd hate to think people won't understand that CASAA is more than just a local group.

Yeah here's another e-cig company on the cover of Price Cutter magazine. This is a mag that goes out to the brick & motor stores.

I know this won't change things at my local smoke shop. Last time I was in for RYO supplies, I heard the owner go off on a mini-rant to another customer about how he won't be carrying those abominations, or something to that effect. (Or affect? I never can get that particular rule straight... ;)).

But that's just more opportunities for someone else! (And apparently there is someone in the area taking said opportunity; they even offer reasonable prices on carts, but alas, no juice...)

Edit to add: Oh yeah, thanks for the link! Interesting read. ;)
