I think this is a news piece about our Greek cardiologist's study!
There is going to be severe distress in the pharmaceutical executive offices and the antz groups I predict. Everyone and his paid for shill are going to be out screaming in denial of this report and these articles. Too bad Bloomberg didn't print the whole thing.
Hooray for our side![]()
I think it's going to be fun to watch the spin that will be used by the ANTZ on this one, at first ignore and then attack. I might spend some time tonight posting this on some ANTZ sites under the heading "E-cigarettes effect on heart function" it might stay up a while longer under that heading. We need them to fight it so more people read it as it puts the lie to one of their favorite "bad" things about nicotine use in any non burning method.

Excellent idea. I just posted it here: American Heart Association
Save the life of a smoker. New research on effects of electronic cigarettes on heart: E-Cigarettes Pose No Risk of Heart Disease, Study Finds - Businessweek
Liking all of these... oh and apparently Electricman found the one on the American Heart Association.
Edit: apparently he went through and found ALL of them and copied and pasted his comment. Does this guy work?
Why don't you post the truth about what was said besides your warped 1/2 truth like usual that casaa likes to hide behind....the more you addict to your drug device the more your "harm reduction" site profits from ....what a shame
Well, OK, if you insist! The story published in Business Week on 8/25/2012 stated, "E-cigarettes, electronic tubes that simulate the effect of smoking by producing nicotine vapor, prompted no adverse effects on cardiac function in the study, researchers from the Athens- based Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center said in a report presented at the European Society of Cardiology annual meeting in Munich today."
"I can say that electronic cigarettes are not a healthy habit, but they are a safer alternative to tobacco cigarettes," Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos (Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, Kallithea, Greece) told a press conference here at the European Society of Cardiology 2012 Congress. "Humans are made to inhale clean air, so I think everything else you inhale is not healthy; I cannot say this is absolutely healthy. In his small study, Farsalinos and colleagues measured myocardial function using echocardiography before and after smoking one tobacco cigarette in 20 young daily smokers aged 25 to 45 years of age However, he acknowledges the research—which compared the effects of electronic cigarettes on the heart with those of tobacco cigarettes, in less than 50 people—is preliminary, and much more study is needed
The relevant statement in the passage my good friend Izzy quoted is, "...but they are a safer alternative to tobacco cigarettes."
