So the smoker didn't think it was fair that he had to go outside to smoke and e-cig users got to stay inside. I wonder if he had stayed using E-cigs (or actually started) if he would have wanted them banned from inside the buildings? Somehow I doubt it. As for him having tried e-cigs I would like to have asked him where when and for how long. My guess would be he tried them once at a mall Kiosk and for him that was enough to say he didn't like them. I don't think many smokers who don't want to quick are going to convert after one try at a kiosk.

Yes, I posted this last Friday in Legislative news BEFORE the vote. How many of you read it and emailed or wrote in against the ban BEFORE the vote on Tues this week?

Gosh, not me. I don't live in Riverside. And don't even know where the legislative news is. If it doesn't come up in the regular feed, right when I happen to be looking, I just don't see it. Thank you for CASAA, stay out there and fight this fight before we all lose out.

You don't have to live in the area you write to. It takes LARGE NUMBERS of emails, calls or letters to sway these issues. You just tell your story of how you started vaping, how you felt before you started vaping and how you feel now and what you might have to do if denied the use of our vaping devices and eliquids

Legislative news is in the forum list. Click the little house right below new posts to see the list, and then go down the list.

CASAA can always use new supporting members, everyone who vapes should join and help us fight the fight. Barring successful fights we may all lose. That is why I joined CASAA, support it with a contribution monthly and watch for things that might harm our ability to continue vaping.

I would bet that any smokers who have tried and not liked ecigs has tried one of the bad examples. Yano....the ones that are only in it for the money and sell a very bad example....the ones that look like cigs....and charge you over $100 for one battery and one cartomizer....I see those ads popping up all over the place now and they are NOT helping the cause!!!!!

These places also want to grab your credit card and lock you into a monthly, over-priced plan!

I personally follow the same rules with public vaping as I would if smoking. I go where the smokers go.
For 2 reasons.
1- By vaping inside or in "no smoking" areas, it just seems like Im giving a big "neener neener" to smokers
2- By hanging out with smokers I get more chances to convert someone to vaping.

I dont want to end up seeming like some Smug Vapor Elitist.

I know most of you won't like my view on this, but the only reason the FDA hasn't been able to completely ban e-cigs until they put them through all their testing, is because they where classed as a tobacco product.

So I see it as a double edged sword, either they will treat them like a tobacco product or we risk them banning them as an untested medical device.

That TV news report is a classic example of poor news reporting. It never showed an e-cigarette, the subject of the story.

Of course, until public agencies and private businesses learn otherwise they will ban e-cigarette use just like they ban any burning tobacco product. As long as nicotine is exhaled they can claim second-hand vapor may be dangerous to non-users.
