Yeah, we've got radio ads for "free e-cigs" here in the Bay Area, too.
I think they are from "subscription business model" companies dumping stock hoping to cash in on pre-filled carts.

I have to admit - I've hardly touched the unit I bought at 7-11 since the first day two weeks ago. I'm so happy with my 510 that I see no reason. I put it in my desk drawer as an "emergency backup" unit.

That being said... I've taken to dripping (much easier and more convenient than it at first sounds), and the high-bridge atty on the 7-11 unit calls to me. Peering into the depths of a 510 atty looking to bombard the short bridge wick deducts a point or so.

Re: 401 clone - I suppose that depends on what one means by "401", but this appears to be different in a significant way - that is, "male" vs. "female" threads - the atty is female; the battery is male.. which seems to be the opposite of what I've seen for 401s. Although, perhaps I'm not seeing all variations... I'm still a n00b at this, after all.

A 7-11 I stopped in here has some kind of PV for sale. They had a big sign out front, "Electronic Cigarettes here", and I stopped in just to take a look, with my Kissbox in hand.
I asked to take a look and the kid opened the box and put it on the counter, while obviously staring at my PV, I thought he was going to reach out and grab it for a moment. I couldn't identify theirs and don't recall the brand on the box (nothing I'd heard of before and this was weeks ago), but it was some sort of mini which resembled an analog.

Pretty damn cool for that price! I'd pick one up if they sold it at a 7-11 near me. For what they're charging for one batt, one atty, 5 pre-filled carts and a USB charger, you'd pay that much at any ECF-recommend web site if you bought the parts separately. I don't know how they can charge that low, but I'm glad to see it out there. There's lots of scam companies out there still charging $99 for similar starter kits. And by getting them over the counter at 7-11 you don't get stuck on any kind of subscription program.

If these are being supplied by a company that focuses mainly on 7-11s there's a lot less overhead filling up an in-store counter display than running a mall kiosk.

On all 401/2/3 the attys are female and the batteries are male ya got it bassakwards my friend.:D 510's are the opposite of 401's. These look just like a 40x style. gonna check the 7-11's here in Austin for them.

I actually bought my e-cig from a smoke shop a town over.
Real nice people, let me try a health-e-cig right in the shop.
But I ended up buying one that was all packaged up... For one, because I figured he was allowing everyone try the heath-e-cig one, (ew) and secondly, I saw the directions said 510, and I knew I read about 510s online, I just didn't remember if they were good or bad. When I got home I hopped on the web to look up 510 and saw I made a good choice. :) It was something like $55.00 and they were charging $10 for a five pack of cartridges. I bought two packs to hold me till my bottle of e-liquid came in yesterday.

The thing that scares me about these lame kits in the store is that most people will go right back to analogs and have bad press about e-cigs. When I bought my 1st kit(801PenStyle) I didn't like it & went back to smoking. I finally was able to go 100% e-cig after I got a 510. I refused to give up until I found one that worked and I don't think a lot of people have that will. I have met some people that tried kits from kiosks and went back to smoking.

The Smoking Everywhere brand of ecig is actually just as good as my Evo 401's.

Im one of those impulsive people, as soon as I took a puff or two off of the SE, I just had to have one. At least I did not fork over $100.00 for the 15ml bottle of "pure nicotine" he tried to push on me. However, at 150 bucks for the SE vs 50 for the Evo, FORGET ABOUT IT!

The 7-11's here in The Austin area of Texas do not sell ecigs, some head shop carries them and some juices. I heard they were expensive there. I Will stick with ECF recommended suppliers for now.

I had tried to find one of these e-cigs in San Jose a couple of weeks ago and had no luck. However, today I was in Alameda and stopped at the 7-11 to pick up a few things. When I was checking out, I saw them on the counter. So, for 20 bucks I figured I could not go wrong. I even got one for my girlfriends mother to try. I did not buy the carts, although compard to some cart pricing I have seen, the price on these seem pretty reasonable. It is $14.00 for a pack of 10.

As you can see from the pics I have attached, it is pretty simple with not much effort or expense put into the packaging. But who cares about presentation. All I care about is how well it works.

When I got out to the car I could not wait to open it up and give it a try. My girlfriend just kind of rolled her eyes and me and watched me put it together. I have never seen this kind of attty before, so I'm not sure what kind of atty it is. Maybe a 401 or something. Also, the carts are a little different because instead of having a plastic cap on them like other models I have, it had a peice of foil over the stuffing in the cart. Once you push the cart on to the atty, the atty breaks the foil and makes contact with the stuffing and juice. Seems like a pretty smart way to seal the carts. Antother thing I noticed is that the assembled unit is super light. It is lighter than both my 510 and SE 4081. At that point I was thinking that since it is so small and light, maybe this was just some peice of junk. Then I took a puff...

I was pleasantly surprised after taking that first puff. The hit was nice and smooth. There was a decent throat hit, but not too much. I exhaled and I exhaled about as much vapor as I would smoke from an analog.

The first cart seemed to last about as long as 3-5 analogs and vaped fairly nice through the whole time I was using it. I just filled the cart with some HV juice that I have and it seems to work ok. The throat hit is a lot stronger with this juice in it, but still produces the same amount of vapor.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

Its not as good as my DSE905, or even my Joye510. However, I would say that it is as good as my SE 4081. Overall it gives a good hit. The battery seems to last at least several hours (which is really good for such a small unit).

I would highly recommend this unit to someone that wants to try using an e-cig over analogs any day. For just 20.00 you can't go wrong. Heck, even if the atty or battery only last a week or two, it's still going to be chaper than buying analogs for a week or two.

Edit: The battery just died on me the second I posted this. Now I'll put it on the charger and call it a day with this unit. Not bad though. I bought this unit at around 5:30 today, and the battery just nw ran out of charge. I would have to say that this tiny little battery will outlast a 510 battery for sure.

Good review optsmk,

I too also purchased the the e-cig along with the e-hookah (one for nic and the other for juices) and have the same experiences...it's good, but not the best, but can keep up with the others...get it?...

*Purchase location: 7-11 on 11th next to San Jose State University
The main company is also located in San Jose, which I already e-mailed them for spare parts and questions about "prices differences" (website prices, crazy!) :?:
...pending response

I was curious about this product and did some intensive "google-ing" and found that this product is very similar to other products...Health E-Cig, Smokepower, ... just re-labeled.:?:

I'll update you guys with my findings...

I just called a local 7-11 and they do carry the e-cigs, however, they're $40 here, not $20, so I don't see buying one "just to try" when I'm at least reasonably happy with my (I know, I know) Blu. I'm pretty new to vaping, I just started when I ended up in hospital, where I still am, last December. Believe me, having any unit at all when you're trapped in bed for 4 or 5 months is worth gold, especially with the smoking laws in WA state!!

Beside which, I really happen to like the light on the Blu. I like the flashlight effect of it because the laws here are really strict, and it's so bright that I can be sure proprietors know it's an e-cig. Not that I'd vape without asking first!

So for now, I'll stick to using my Blu and just refilling the carts. It's working great so far. When you're on a fixed income, one decent one is plenty, though I have a mall-kiosk version (purchased at a coffee shop) that a friend got me to hold me over until the Blu came, and I use that when I have no batteries for the Blu unit.

It sure would be nice to see them in New Jersey. I'd take that as a sign that vaping is being excepted as a reduced harm alternative to smoking. It also would be nice to see a better model being sold. Like the 510 with or without a cartomizer.Seven Eleven has the distribution angle covered. Seven Eleven is like horse poop, they are all over this country.

I am new to using these new cigarettes. Ive heard that a few 711's in San Jose and was interested in trying it. Last night I happened to stop at a 711 by Santa Clara University to buy a pack of cigarettes when i discovered that they carried the xhaleo2. They also had the e-hookahs which looked tempting too, but didn't contain any nicotine. I'm not much of a menthol person so i went for the regular at $21.74 including tax. I put it together in the car and tried it. It was surprising smooth and produced a lot of vapor, and felt like a real cigarette when inhaled. It is definitely worth it. I just finished one of the cartridges and do not want to pay $14.99 for a pack of 10 cartridges when I'm done with with the rest of them. Does anyone know how to make this e-juice and refill them into these cartridges?
